Leah's POV

I moved closer to him and said boldly to his face with my middle finger, “Screw you, Alpha Elijah!!!”

"Twenty-four hours, I don't want to throw my ex-mate out!” he said with all seriousness.

"Do your worse Alpha Elijah, one more thing, before you kick me out, I will start first, leave!!” I opened the door and showed him the way.

"How dare you??? I am the Alpha and I leave when I choose to, you don't tell me when to leave,Leah!!“

"Get lost Alpha Elijah, this is my home and my domain, get out right now!!” I screamed like a mad lady.

"Twenty-four hours!!” He left and just like that, I broke down in tears.

How did I end up loving someone as cold as Elijah from the beginning?

"Cindy, what offense did we commit for the Moon Goddess to make him our fated mate when he doesn't even want us?”

"You need to get yourself together Leah, don't let it get to you, I am angry as well, he doesn't deserve us either.“

"Yes you are right but what I still don't understand is why he came here. He could have sent his servant or someone to deliver his message.”

I tried my best to stop thinking about Elijah but his thoughts kept clouding my thinking non stop, what has he done to me? I thought the mate bond was broken already, why do I still feel I am connected to him? This isn't right at all, I need to look for my kids and leave at once. I am done with him for good and I will never request help from him even if it's the last option left on earth.

I stepped on some candies, I never remembered the last time I got candies so how did they get here?

"You are welcome, come here.” He turned me around, hugging me from behind and spoiling my face down to my neck with hot kisses. I felt butterflies in my belly, so this is love!!!!! I hope it never ends.

"You are just like these candies in my life.“

"How?”

"Candies are sweet right?”

"Yes it is, that's why I love them.”

"When my life gets bitter and I see you, it turns out sweet so anytime you see these candies always remember you are the candy of my life, without you my life will be filled with bitterness.”

"Then you have to promise never to leave me.“

"I promise!!!“

"I love you so much, Elijah.“

Remembering such good memories made my heart ache as I destroyed the candies.

"You jerk!!!!! Screw you.......screw you..... I hate you, Elijah...I will never forgive you... Never.....“

I tried so hard not to let a single teardrop... If I could turn back time, I would revisit the past and make sure I never meet with him from the start. He is supposed to be my mate.

Mates are destined to be together forever but what did he do? He betrayed me for someone else! Moon Goddess can't you see? You made a huge mistake pairing him with me.

I ran into the woods trying to shift into my wolf form.

Cindy warned me about the danger, the plague might take full effect, the side effects later on would get worse and there wouldn't be anyone to watch after me.

I really don't care, the more I break my bones in my shifting process, I remember each pain Elijah made me go through, is it a crime to love like a fool?

I was in terrible pain and cried out for help, my eyes were closing, and I wished someone could just come to my rescue now.

If death will take me at least give me a little time to find my kids and friends, that's all I need so Moon Goddess, please grant my wolf side healing... Heal me so I won't be mocked by my fellow kinds.

I may be the last of my kind but I am certain I am still alive for a reason, I don't know your plan. I just need my wolf strength so I can find my kids. They are my last hope, don't let harm come to them, I beg of you.

I was back to my human self but was lying flat on the ground naked.

My clothes were gone as usual and I had no means to get one.

My legs were too weak and my vision was blurry.

Out of the blue in the dark woods, a strange scent covered the entire place and my wolf sluggishly jumped in excitement saying "Mate....mate....we got a second chance mate...”

He walked out of the shadows and came to me, "I am sorry I came late mate!!!” he said to me but I couldn't see his face...

There was something about his voice that made it sound familiar... Trying to speak, I lost consciousness.
