Leah’s POV

I won’t let him get to me, I turned around and said to him, “Forgive me alpha, I didn’t mean to waste your time, I am so sorry, I will take my leave now.” There was no point in creating a scene here, he must never find out about the kids that they belong to him.

I stepped out of the mansion and drove off, I got to a stop and allowed the tears to fall, I hate him so much Cindy, he is a bastard, he should have told me he found someone better and not pulled such a stunt on me, how dare he use the plague that happened to my people as an excuse to end things with me?

“Leah, don’t let the past weaken us now, we need to find the kids.” My wolf said to me, I could feel her pain, especially the moment the beautiful lady came to him, it broke our hearts again, it was as if the past was repeating all over again, well we no longer have business with him, once we can find our kids, I will be out of this town for good and I will never return here ever again.

“You are right Cindy, let’s go back to the scene it all happened, I am certain we could find a trail,” I suggested.

“That’s not possible, we were there last night and we found nothing useful, I guess we really have no other choice than to work with our ex-mate.” She also gave her suggestion which I am totally against.

“No, no, I will never work with Elijah, he is a cold ruthless monster who used us and dumped us, I will look for another way to find my babies, I am sure they won’t kill them, I just have to figure out a plan out.”

“Okay, if you say so, let’s return there.” She finally agreed we were going to take matters into our own hands and look for my kids and best friend myself.

We arrived at the scene and it looked so strange to us, did someone tamper with the scene and this smell, it wasn’t here yesterday, I need to find out if the stranger that tampered with this scene is still here. I ended up finding nothing and came across some farmers who told me they saw no one except their fellow farmers, this is driving me nuts already.

How could my babies just disappear into thin air just like that?

I brought out my phone to call Asher, “Hello Leah, tell me, did the alpha agree to be of help?”

“I do not want the help of the alpha, I changed my mind already,” I said to him and I knew he would be confused.

“I don’t get it, he is the only one who can help you, did something transpire?”

“You made mention of repeated cases of missing babies and the alpha is still clueless, how do you expect me to trust him that he is capable of finding my kids and friend.”

He kept quiet for a few seconds and he finally said something, “But I have faith in the alpha, he is trying his best.”

“Well, his best is not good enough, I want to thank you for trying to help me, I really appreciate you and I would love to treat you to dinner tonight at my place, if you don’t mind.”

“You don’t have to thank me, I was just doing my job and I promise to keep searching till I find your kids and your friend.”

“Please do not turn me down, you are the only person I know in town, so please.”

“Okay, text me your home address, and I will be there by 7.”

“Thank you so much.” He ended the call, I will get some information from him about this town and then I will know where to start looking, I know I can do this without his help, according to my wolf, this is no time to start crying, I need to get to the button of this and find the lunatic that took my innocent babies from me along with my friend.

I entered the car and drove out, I didn’t know when I started crying my eyes out again, I missed my babies so much, are they feeding them properly? What exactly are they doing to them right? Please Moon goddess, protect them for me, I might be weak but I need you now.

I moved directly to the place I was staying, getting out of the car, I got aroused by a familiar scent, don’t tell me it’s him. What the hell is he doing here? I really do not expect him to come to my place to look for me, let me guess, he gave an order for them to look for my address, now I understand the power of an alpha.

I opened the door and saw him in my living room, “Get out of my home this minute.” I yelled at him.

“Long time no see ex-mate.” He said with a smirk on his face, he is no more the Elijah I knew in the past.

“How dare you show up in my place uninvited, I really don’t have time for this nonsense Elijah, get out of my place right now.”

“I will leave but I need to know what brings you to my town?” He asked of me and I laughed out like a crazy lady.

“Do you think my question is funny?”

“Yes, you are one funny man,” I replied.

“Listen, I am not here to make you laugh, answer the damn question, why are you here?” He repeated in a cold tone.

“And do you think I am here to entertain your silly questions, know your place ex-mate, what I am doing here, it’s none of your business okay.”

“I am the alpha and I have every right to know what brings you to my town.”

“You are no alpha to me, now get lost.” I need to be rude as hell, he must never find out about the kids, never, I will never allow it.

“You have twenty-four hours to leave my town, I forbid you to stay here.” He ordered.

I moved closer to him and said boldly to his face with my middle finger, “Screw you,Alpha Elijah!!!”
