Leah POV
"I will take you there tomorrow evening,that's when you can see him."
"Should I wait until evening? I am so desperate to look for my kids, can't I go right now? Take me there, please." I begged, but he said, “It's not possible, you don't just barge in to see the Alpha anytime you like, but I will send words to the Beta to get a slot on my behalf, but you will be permitted only cool evenings."
“You mean there is no other way? What if before tomorrow evening, they hurt my kids and best friend?” I questioned with fear in my eyes.
“I assure you ma’am,nothing will happen to your kids and best friend, have some fate, I beg of you.”
“I just came here for a break, if I knew such a thing will take place, I would never have come here, what have I done? They are the only hopes I got left.”
He held my hands and said to me, “Trust me, you will find your kids and I will be willing to be of help to you okay, my name is Asher, what about you?”
“Leah.”
“Okay Leah, what about your husband? Have you informed him yet?”
“I am not married, I just have kids and please don’t ask me about my past life, I am a happy single mom.”
“Oh, I am so sorry, please forgive me!” Well it wasn’t his fault so he should not say sorry.
“I am okay, you were just doing your job.”
“Thank you, I will do everything it takes to grant you an audience with the almighty Alpha tomorrow.”
“Okay, I will wait, thank you so much.”
I guess I really don't have a choice but to do as he said, tomorrow evening. I took his number and headed home immediately.
I couldn't even eat anything, I was confused and crying.
Let my kids and friends be alive,my life will be completely dark without them around. Moon goddess, please help me this time. I can't bear to start another life without them in it. Pity me, please. Elijah once broke me, but Jessica and my kids helped me to get back on my feet. Worse things might happen if I can't find them.
"You need to calm yourself down, Leah, I am very sure they are all fine, let's wait until tomorrow and let the Alpha help us. You know you overused our strength,you need time to rest to feel better."
"I don't care if I get weaker, Cindy,all I care about are my children. How do you expect me to continue living if I can't find my hope?" Tears rolled from my eyes.
“Leah, be yourself, I assure you, the alpha will help us as long as the police officer is ready to help us through the beta, so there is enough hope."
"I hope so."
I couldn't sleep throughout the night; I kept looking at the pictures and videos of my kids and Jessica.
I stayed awake, and the next morning I kept checking outside to see if my friends and kids would return, but there was no sign of them.
I suddenly got a call from the police, which I picked up immediately. “Hello, good morning."
"Good morning, I have talked to the beta already, I will send you the address.make sure you are there at exactly 5 p.m.” He said.
"Sure, I will be there before time. Thank you so much for your help." I was grateful to him, and I rushed to take my bath without wasting time, got ready, and headed to the mansion of the Moon Stone Pack.
I heard they are so powerful and high in numbers that other packs go to them for help. I pray they also help me.
"Leah, this is just 12 p.m,you are already rushing there; wait until 4."
"I don't have anything to do, Cindy. I will wait until 5pm to meet the beta." I said to Cindy, who gave up on telling me to rest for a while
I waited close to the mansion, looking at the time, and it was taking forever to get to 5 p.m.
It was finally 5 p.m., and the beta called my number himself, saying his friend had given it to me concerning my complaint.
He asked where I was, and I told him I was at the gate. The door was opened, and I saw a cute, tall, slim guy with attractive brown eyes.
"You must be, Leah."
"Yes."
"Call me Beta Louis; we have so many reports of missing babies and more but haven't found a clue. If you are lucky enough, the Alpha will look into it himself because he has been cold since he became the Alpha."
"I hope so." I said it with prayers in my heart.
I was directed to wait in the living room, where the Alpha will join me to question me.
Suddenly, I saw Elijah, and I was shocked, “Elijah!"
"Leah!!!"
"Do you know Alpha Elijah?" Louis asked, and I was so shocked. My first lover, who dumped me, is the hope I have in finding my kids.
“Yes, I know him.” I looked at him with rage and anger, about to say something, a lady walked in saying, “My love, I was looking for you.” My heart was beating fast, so it was because of her, how could he do this to me, there was no point in talking to him, I would rather look after my kids myself instead of working with him, he would never have a chance in their life.
“I am sorry but I need to go, I made a mistake.” I stood on my feet.
“Wait a minute, he told me..” I interrupted the beta saying, “It was a mistake beta, I will have to take my leave if you don’t mind.”
I turned around and he tried to stop me, “Leah, why did you come here? I can’t believe I wasted my time to grant you an audience.” He is a cold monster.
