The battlefield changed rapidly, and I took the last remaining group of new Colley Pack warriors and the new Tarlow Pack warriors I trained to the battlefield.
Although the strong and tough Tarlow Pack warriors had not fully mastered the Colley Combat Arts fully, based on their fighting abilities and my battlefield tactics, we soon took control of the battlefield.
However, the Red Moon Pack’s attacks did not abate. I frowned at the opponent’s continued offensive and had a bad feeling about it.
“Watch the formation! The Red Moon Pack also used the same fighting formation. Be careful of their attacks!” I yelled after biting off the throat of a Red Moon werewolf.
I did not expect that traitor Timmy had revealed the centuries-old fighting formation of the Colley Pack for his dream to become an Alpha.
Finally, the Colley Pack finally repelled the Red Moon Pack attacks with the help of the Tarlow Pack’s warriors.
I turned around and was about to celebrate our victory with Wayne when Lyra yelled, “Anna! Dodge!!!” I reacted immediately and narrowly avoided the sharp claws that swiped right in front of my face. I then realized that the arm that swung at me had a yellow cloth tied around his forelimbs which were our own markings.
He was from the Tarlow Pack, a trainee I had trained. “What are you doing? Thomson!” I shouted angrily as I recognized the wolf who just pounced on me with teeth bared menacingly.
I deftly dodged him before pinning him down and threatening to bite his neck. He whimpered and confessed. “Anna, I can’t help it. Alpha Daimon ordered us to...”
“Damn it!” I ground my teeth viciously right beside this brat’s neck but decided to release him. Now I could no longer think about the victory. I hastily informed all the Colley Pack clansmen with a coded message: “Our allies had become our enemies. Tarlow Pack had started to attack us, find a way to protect yourself!”
I turned around and headed for the main camp in the rear. As the leader of the vanguard warriors, I had been fighting on the front line, while the badly wounded Alpha Wayne had been staying at the base camp with Daimon. Since Daimon had given the order for the werewolf trainees to kill me while they had the chance, Wayne must be in danger now.
I just ran and dodged all of the Tarlow werewolves, but was finally stopped by a dozen of Daimon’s guards outside the main tent. Lyra and I hissed and lunged at these Tarlow Pack guards who would not get out of my way.
“Anna, we have to quickly bite these people’s necks! I can feel that Alpha Wayne’s breathing is very unstable now... he might be in danger!”
I thought about Wayne, who was already seriously injured from previous battles and attacked the guards ferociously. When two of the guards were about to have their eyes gouged out by my sharp claws, Daimon said, “Is that Anna? Invite her in.”
I pounced straight into the tent, bypassing the guards who had tried to stop me.
Daimon was sitting on a throne in the middle of the tent with an overwhelming aura. In stark contrast, Wayne was pale and holding onto his bleeding abdominal wound. He sat on the ground and leaned against a leg of the table. He looked very pale and was in intense pain.
Daimon raised his eyebrows as soon as I entered. He then said with a radiant smile, “Anna is really a true leader and warrior.”
“Alpha Daimon, you don’t have to change the subject. Before I went to the front this morning, Wayne’s wound had mostly healed. Why happened for him to be in this condition?”
Wayne hung his head and sighed helplessly. He then said softly as he winced in pain, “Anna, from now on, our Colley Pack, will be ruled by Chief Daimon.”
“Chief?!” I looked at Wayne with astonishment.
Daimon snorted. “Anna, although there is no need for me to do this, I decided to inform you personally that your Colley Pack will henceforth be subjugated by the Tarlow Pack.”
“I disagree!” Lyra and I shouted out at the same time. Colley Pack was a centuries-old clan. How could we submit so easily to another Pack?
“If you don’t want to submit to the Tarlow Pack, then you can reunite with your people at the POW camp,” Daimon said dismissively.
I bared my teeth and looked angrily at Daimon who was sitting in his seat. “Daimon! You two-faced villain! You betrayed the trust of our Colley Pack! We had agreed to exchange our centuries-old Colley Combat Arts for the help you gave us on the battlefield!”
Daimon then stood up and snarled, “Forget it, I’ve changed my mind, I think that your entire Pack is the most suitable to be the vanguard of Tarlow Pack’s next conquest.” He then left without saying another word.
I, who was already wounded, and Wayne, who was now seriously injured, were both taken to the POW camp by Daimon’s guards.
After a few days in the POW camp, we no longer knew if the once noble Pack still existed. We followed the Tarlow Pack and migrated to their land. However, we became the lowest status and were reduced to doing menial tasks. Even the once exalted Alpha Wayne had to do disgraceful work so that he could receive water and food.
Not only that, Daimon was true to his word. He really wanted us his frontline warriors in the next battle.
The elderly, people of all ages, even children and wounded warriors were dragged to the training ground by his men for brutal training. I was also forced to continue instructing the young wolves in the camp.

One day, I had a duel with a Tarlow Pack Beta warrior. He was a good fighter and I was held down by him who began to choke me almost to the point of suffocation.
I began to pass out and the yells of encouragement by the Colley Pack clansmen started to fade. I could only feel my own heartbeat and see the sturdy arms of this strong werewolf strained with bulging veins in front of me.
At that moment a calm and mocking voice sounded off to the side. “So, the once famous chief instructor of the Colley Pack is finally defeated.”
“Chief!” The Beta who was clutching my neck stood up immediately and bowed to Daimon with his arms by his side. I began to gasp for air and tried hard to compose myself.
Daimon was handsome but unbearably annoying. He leaned toward me and said, “Anna oh Anna, is this the way your Colley Pack has been training all these years? Gimmick-like punches that only look good but are ineffective. Gymnastic-like stances that look elegant but unstable? No wonder you guys haven’t been able to beat the Red Moon Pack.”
“You! Alpha Daimon, please respect our Pack and heritage!” I snarled angrily and sprung to my feet.
Lyra even bared her teeth and roared: Anna! Smash his head in! How can he look down on our Colley Combat Arts? He is just an Alpha who doesn’t know anything! Damn it!
To be honest, I would have loved to have hammered Daimon’s head in. Unfortunately, my people, including our Alpha Wayne, were now at Daimon’s mercy. For the sake of my people, who are still captives, I could only swallow my pride.
When Daimon noticed my silence, he nodded and stood up. “There is still hope for you if you realize that you need help. Starting tomorrow, I will train you people, personally. I’m curious if the Colley Pack are the weakest wolves by nature, or if your instructors don’t know how to train you.”
The next morning, the trumpets of the captive colony blew before dawn. The sleepy clansmen were brought to the training ground by Daimon’s men. Training began almost immediately with long-distance runs.
Later that day, Daimon taught a fighting technique that was not as complex as the Colley Combat Arts. It was a technique that focused on being fast, accurate, and vicious.
In just three days, the Colley Pack warriors, who took two or three of them to fight a Tarlow Pack warrior now won several one-on-one duels.
Daimon looked at his results and nodded in satisfaction. He sneered as he said to me, “How about it, Anna? I told you that the Colley Combat Arts of yours is useless. In a werewolf fight, victory is only what matters.”
“Alpha Daimon, you must not insult our heritage!” I glared at him angrily.
“That’s not an insult, Miss. I’m being realistic.” For some reason, Daimon seemed to enjoy taunting me. I even suspected for a moment that the reason he wanted me to continue as an instructor for the first few days was so that he could logically insult me today.
I took a deep breath, gritted my teeth, and swore in my heart that I would find an opportunity to beat this loathe some man! I would pound him and make him eat dirt!
Lyra also shouted in agreement with me: Anna, I believe you! You just didn’t use our full strength. As long as we attack with our full strength, this Daimon is definitely not our match!
“Chief Daimon, perhaps you don’t believe me, but I still have to say that the Colley Combat Arts that has been passed down for hundreds of years by the Colley Pack does have its strengths. So, I hope that you will give me a chance to duel with you on the same stage.” I felt my fists clenching, but even so, I tried to retort in a more respectful tone so that I did not anger him.
