The new path

Kendra had already done some leg work to figure out where she was working, her schedule and nailed down all the admin she'd have to reacquaint herself with.

On the off chance this was truly happening, she still has to keep up on bills and be responsible for herself. She wanted to get into a routine and settled before making any other changes in her life.

Her and Luke had been texting all morning and landed on him picking her up at 2pm.

Kendra was incredibly nervous to see him but knew she had to try and play it cool. To him, they had just spent the entire previous day together. She had major butterflies.

Kendra tried to keep herself busy until then. She cleaned her apartment, did some budgeting and soaked up her second chance at kitten cuddles with Astro. It was very comforting to still have him here with her in one way or another.

It was 1pm now and Kendra stood staring into her closet...what would she wear? Dhe quickly went through all her tops before landing on a cute red top. It had short sleeves that were flowy and a scoop neckline. She paired with some dark wash skinny jeans and some light makeup.

That didn't take as long as she had hoped, and she was getting anxious.

Kendra figured she might as well curl her hair to kill some time. That always gave her a confidence boost anyways.

As she curled her hair she wondered what she wanted to do. Should she suggest they go out? Should she buzz him up to her unit and give him a sexy surprise?

Kendra wanted to do something bold and special, knowing the day before he had taken her on the best date of her life that she never forgot about.

She wanted to show him how much she appreciated that. So when she finished curling her hair, she had decided.

Sexy surprise it was. Kendra decided she was going to keep it simple and fun. She was just going to flash him the moment he opened the door. It was a little risky since she couldn't guarantee no one would be in the hallway but she also knew he was the type of guy who would f*****g love it.

Kendra heard her phone ring, it was the buzzer to her apartment. She entered the passcode and let him up.

This was something she'd never dare do with her husband because she knew she'd never get the reaction she wanted. He never listed after her and it was always so disappointing and humiliating.

Kendra was determined to not let those experiences damper the fun she could have now.
