Without his phone or a good enough memory to know numbers, he had no way to contact Gabriel after he left. It’d been hard, but in the end, it was something that he had to do for himself. He wouldn’t expect Gabriel to forgive him or to understand why he did what he did, but he had a sinking feeling that if he’d done it any other way, he’d still be falling down that same spiral. He may not even be alive to see the bottom of it. He’d been going to therapy. Getting the real help that he needed.
