“Oh, um. They get it the way,” Gabriel replied. “I guess I just got used to the contacts.” “Fall off your face too many times on the field?” Anthony grinned, wildly. The sudden red on Gabriel’s face and his silence said more than his words ever could. “All right, let’s get on our way, shall we?” Anthony made a shallow bow, pretending to be a gentleman. It seemed to do enough, as Gabriel relaxed. “Before we go, though—” Anthony stepped forward to wrap his fingers in Gabriel’s collar and pull him down for a quick smooch, right to his cheek. “D-do I need to get my keys?” Gabriel stammered. He never seemed to expect the kissing. It was so casual. It wasn’t something he was used to. “No, no. We’re walking today—hobbling, really. My treat, so, don’t thank me.” Gabriel grinned. “Thank you,”
