Jed and Marissa picked up Sara and then came by for Laura. Jed was driving them to Kansas City for Joe’s graduation. Marissa made reservations at a bed and breakfast for them. They knew it would take a couple of days rest before they returned to Sharpville. Since Laura told Joe she was going to be at his graduation, they decided not to try to surprise him. Laura told him they were coming, and he was looking forward to seeing Laura.
When she told him his mom was coming, he got all choked up. He missed his family. It would be great to make peace and be part of a family again. Joe knew it was time to put his troubles with Jed behind him. He did not want to start his life with Laura with a feud.
