A very excited Marissa went into Jed’s arms, beside his truck, when he picked her up after work. They kissed, and Jed helped her into her seat. Going around to the driver’s side, Jed climbed in and grinned at Marissa. He unfastened her seat belt so she could move into the middle, closer to him. Marissa smiled and moved closer. She fastened the middle belt and placed her hand on Jed’s leg. After they were on their way, Jed placed his hand on hers and squeezed.
“I’m glad you wanted to see the dairy farm,” said Jed.
“The farm is important to you. Of course I want to see it,” declared Marissa.
It did not take long before they were pulling into the parking lot in front of the barn. Before they got out, Jed turned to Marissa. “I need to explain to you about my engagement,” he said.
