Tilly and her best friend, Macy, entered the house. They stopped when they saw Laura sitting downstairs on the sofa.
“Hi, Laura,” said Tilly. “Macy is going to spend the night with me tonight.”
“Hi, Tilly, hi, Macy,” said Laura. “Are you two getting ready for the prom?”
“Yes,” said Tilly. “We don’t have to go to school tomorrow. They let us be out to decorate and get things ready for the prom. Mom arranged hair appointments for us, and Macy brought her dress so we can get dressed here. Stephan and George are going to pick us up here.”
Laura smiled. “You make sure Mom gets lots of pictures. I’m sure Macy’s parents will want some. The guys may want copies also.”
“I’ll tell her,” agreed Tilly. “Thank you for letting me use your prom dress,” said Tilly.
“The dress is yours,” said Laura.
