Marissa and Jed watched the ladies play bingo. It was entertaining to see how serious they were about the game. When one of them cried, “Bingo,” the whole group was quivering with excitement. Jed had never seen his Mom have so much fun. It was good to see how a small break helped her to relax and have fun. Marissa laughed when one woman stood and demanded attention for her bingo.
“I’m coming. Give me time to get there,” said the official.
“Are you ready to go?” asked Marissa. “I don’t think anyone else is coming.”
“Yes, I am ready,” said Jed taking her hand and helping her to stand.
They waved at Sara Hillard as they headed for the door. She waved back and gave them an approving smile. Once outside they made their way to Jed’s truck, and Jed helped Marissa inside.
