Crowned in Flame, Torn by Ice

My wedding night was supposed to secure my throne. Instead, it ended with three crystal arrows at my window and my ex-lover's army at my gates.

I am Freya, Queen of the Fire Nation. I married for power, not love. But Kai, the Ice King, never got the message. He kidnapped me, used magic to erase my memories, and called me his wife. In his frozen palace, my body remembered what my mind forgot, the heat between us that never died.

Now I've escaped, branded by his kiss and haunted by my own fire. I've returned to a husband who wants to conquer me, a kingdom on the brink of war, and a secret growing in my womb that could ignite everything.

Two kings. One crown. A love that could melt kingdoms or burn them to ash.

Duty commands me to rule. Desire begs me to run. And my heart... my heart doesn't know the difference.

Kidnapped to the Ice King's Bed
In my cozy room while my two maids were brushing my very long golden hair while I sat totally naked on my bed, there were other three that was moisturizing my body with a nice smelling fragrance oil that filled the room with its scent. I felt empty but more powerful, the great feeling of what I had achieved today couldn't still surpass my feelings of emptiness. Tonight, will be the first night I spent with the king I married just five hours ago. "We are done, your highness" they chorused together, interrupting my thoughts while I stood up so they could dress me up for the night. "It's just a night, do I have to look so serious before I spend the night with him?" I asked. "Yes ma'am, it's your special night" one answered. I checked myself out on the mirror at my front, "I look beautiful enough so just wear me my robe" I said to my favourite maid Ina, but your highness you will need to look your best for the night since it's your first night with him. "Do you mean, I don't look my best, Ina?!" I asked after wearing my red robe. " No ma, you look so pretty" she said. "Take me to his room" i haven't even completed the statement when the sharp, sudden impact of three arrows hitting my window frame shattered the silence, my maids became startled. I went to my window side, my fingers closed around the embedded arrow. With a cold steady force, I pulled it from the window frame. A close look at it and it was made of crystal. "it's an arrow from the ice kingdom" I said to myself and there was a thunder clash that came with a heavy rain. It was so unusual for something like this to happen all at once, I knew something was fishy and looked outta the window again, and It was the rain tribe.......they were the one making the rain. The ice kingdom and the rain tribe joining heads together could be our doom because we won't be able to make fire but I'm prepared for these, I thought and I smiled to myself. "Aurelion!" I called out and he flew in....my golden dragon that holds high powers, it bowed down to me and I pecked it before I climbed it. "Mira, go meet my husband and tell him I will meet him in a jiffy" I said with a fierce smile. With a powerful beat of its wings, my dragon flew us out the window, launching ourselves into the heart of the relentless downpour caused by the rain tribe. My dragon and I stood unyielding at the storm's heart, the lashing rain sizzling to steam against our scales and skin, I laughed fearlessly, exhilarated as I unleashed the new power I possessed. I divided the pouring rain with a gesture and struck back with searing fire. My dragon joined the assault, our twin inferno lighting up the battlefield. The ice kingdom, having colluded with the rain tribe to use the storm against us, was now fleeing in helter-skelter chaos. I had suspected their alliance, and now I had single-handedly driven them out. This was the power I had gained from my strategic marriage and it was worth every vow!. As they retreated, I knew the thought of their defeat had never crossed their minds. They had come with the force of a storm, never imagining I could stand against them alone. Yet, one figure remained, unshaken and still upon his horse. Even at a distance, his unwavering gaze was unmistakable. My dragons soared closer, revealing my ex-lover, his eyes blazing with a familiar mix of pain, anger, and hatred. They were as brilliant as ever, yet hardened by betrayal. None of this was my fault. Our love was doomed from the start, a casualty of two warring tribes. My duty must come first; my people and my relentless pursuit of power will always take precedence. As my dragon began to turn away, his voice, deep and soft, cut through the air, and my burning heart turned to ice. "Freya," he vowed, tears of fury in his eyes, "I will get you back, no matter the cost. You are mine. I don't care about tribal laws or the men you are forced to wed. I will not allow you to spend a single night with another." His words struck me with the force of a physical blow, though I gave no sign. "I love you, Freya," he declared, dismounting. Against my better judgment, I guided my dragon closer, a decision I would soon regret. "I love you," he repeated, "And that is why I have no other choice." Before I could decipher his meaning, he drew a small, flute-like object from his pocket, no larger than a twig, and blew into it. "Freya, be my wife," were the last words I heard before I awoke in the ice palace. A consciousness seeped into me, accompanied by a dull throbbing in my temples. My surroundings were a blur of unfamiliar shapes. I tried to push myself up, but a profound weakness washed over me, forcing my head back onto the pillow. My mind was a blank slate. What happened to me? How did I end up here? The only other person in the room was a woman mopping the floor, her focus entirely on her task. "Excuse me," I called out, my voice frail. She looked up. "Yes, Your Highness? Do you need anything?" "Can you tell me who I am? And what I'm doing here?" I asked, the effort of speaking leaving me exhausted. "Of course, ma'am. You are the wife of our king, King Kai," she stated calmly, as if this were the most natural fact in the world. Kai. The name echoed in my mind, a flicker of recognition with no memory attached. "His wife?! But how" My question was cut short as a strong, cloying scent of incense filled the air. Before I could even identify it, a heavy darkness pulled me under, and I knew no more until I awoke the next morning.
