Prologue Round: Beggining
As Jin was about to lie down on his bed, he entered the game's data into the Gearlink and turned it on. The internal battery of the Gearlink was now fully charged, and Jin was prepared to launch the game. He then made the launch call.
"Play begins!"
He had heard a voice in both of his ears when he arrived, and the Gearlink had then recognized his voice because his consciousness had been transported inside the game.
"Please enter your name and gender to start at GunSword Online."
As he was thinking, a digital screen revealed the name bar and a digital keyboard appeared in front of him.
"How about Jin? I can't use my real name because it's risky; instead, let's use a pseudonym; that might be more secure."
He continued to consider it for more than five minutes, but he was unable to come to an official resolution regarding the pseudonym, and as a result, he had begun to grow bored.
"I'm at a loss for words. Am I really that bad at picking a straightforward pseudonym?! Actually, now that I think about it, I've always had trouble picking names."
When he returned to the Naming Section and started to consider what name to input, he had already picked "Male" in the Gender Section.
"I honestly don't know what to pick... I'm so terrible at picking names, even for a simple alias.
Then, a thought suddenly entered his head.
"Jiro, that's it!"
The game system then shown him a confirmation screen after he had typed Jiro's name into it and clicked okay.
Would you mind stating that this is your legal name? You can't replace it once you've pressed it.
[Yes] [No]
He then clicked Yes to confirm, at which point the GunSword Online game system displayed the different types of job professions.
There are two distinct official professions: Swordsman, which specialized in the use of swords, shields, spears, and daggers; and Shooters, which specialized in the use of firearms, rifles, sniper rifles, and other modern weapons like grenades, flashbangs, and smoke. Each profession has three subclasses.
[Swordsman]
Supporter - A sub-class of swordman that specializes at support, an example is the one that provides weapons in pristine condition and also serves as the team's medic.
Tank - The class's main function is to take damage and shield others from harm. The more susceptible party members are protected by tanks, which act as "meatshields" by standing between the mobs and them. "MT" is a common tank abbreviation for (main tank).
Swashbuckler - A sub-class that is an elegant and cultured person who concentrated on sharpening their blade skills and displaying composure in one-on-one fighting.
[Shooter]
Sniper - (A type of shooter who typically carries a Standard In-Game Sniper Rifle, Which is an M24 Sniper Rifle, Chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO rounds. Advanced Classes of Snipers will receive a "Gear Upgrade" from the system and will use a more powerful 50 BMG Sniper Rifle, Chambered in 50 Caliber Tracer rounds. They frequently have a M1911, chambered in 45ACP rounds or the 2011 Combat Master chambered in the standard 9mm rounds.
Assault - A subclass known as assault typically engages in direct combat with the opposing force. Their primary weapon of choice is typically an AR-15 that can fire 5.56x45mm NATO bullets. They also possess a M1911 sidearm that is chambered for the 45ACP round.
Artillery - A sub-class of heavy ranging weapons known as artillery can throw munitions far further and more powerfully than most modern rifles. They are in a group of teams and frequently have mortars, which are far deadlier than the typical RPGs, along with multiple rounds of ammunition.
