*** The rain returned over the next days and it stayed for a week or so. Any other time, I would have been upset about it. Rainy days meant I was trapped inside, apart from a couple of hours spent hiding under trees. My friends and I would all sport our bored and annoyed looks and would take turns in complaining about the weather. Not this time though! The rain brought other delights, unknown to me in days past. About mid-morning, Robert would drag his feet from his place to mine and we’d cuddle on the porch, blankets under and around us, and some huge pillows propped at our backs, and we’d spend our time reading.
