** 6 WEEKS LATER ** "Hey Mia," Logan said as he came into my room. "Hey Logan, what are you doing here?" I asked with a slight cough. "I came to see my girlfriend, and to bring you this," he smiles, as he pulls a bowl of soup out from behind him. "Aw, thanks." I gushed. I have been sick with the flu for about a week now. "Anytime, beautiful," he said as he kissed my forehead. "Actually, I'm feeling better, but not great yet." "Good! But, I take it you'll miss tonight's party?" "Yeah, I probably won't go. Don't let me hold you back though. You should still go." "Are you sure?" "Yeah, go have fun." "Thanks Mia, you are so damn special to me," he said hugging me, causing sparks to shoot through my body. He called me special. "I better get going." "Okay, bye." "Goodbye, beautiful," he said as he left my room. I sighed, turned on Netflix and ate my soup. ~*~*~ "Mia! You are going to this party!" Haley yelled as she barged into my room. "Haley! It's like 7pm, the party just started!" "So? All you have to do is throw on some dress." "Haley. I have been sick for a week. I smell awful and I look like a zombie." "You are feeling better, right? This might just cure you. You gotta get out of this room. You may smell awful, but use perfume. Also, I bet this party will smell pretty bad as well, so don't worry. And, I can throw some make up on your face real quick." Haley said quickly with a smile on her face. "But I already told Logan I wasn't going." "So? I think it'll be a nice surprise for him?" "I bet I will get everybody sick." "Maybe you will, but it's a high school party. There are loads of ways these kids could get sick." "Okay. Sure, I'll go." I finally said. Haley is not going to let this go anytime soon. Haley squealed, "Yay! Let's go get you ready." ~*~*~ We arrived at the party around 8. This was hosted by Joey again, so I let Haley go find him. I wandered around to find Logan. After I searched the house for a good 5 minutes, I went to check the backyard. Once I slipped through the back door, I saw him. Right before I yelled his name, my heart was crushed. "Come here baby!" I heard him yell to Sarah. She ran into his arms, and they had a passionate make-out session. I couldn't tear my eyes away from them. I don't believe it's Logan. I don't believe I'm being cheated on at this very second. But I am. I trusted him. "Dude, don't you have a girlfriend?" Some guy asked. Logan broke away from the kiss, "yeah, whatever. She's not even here. She'll never know." "Logan, bro, this is wrong. You shouldn't do this to her." Another guy spoke up, I recognized him to be Leo. "Shut the f**k up, Leo, I'm busy. Mia and Ryan will never know, or else I will f*****g end you. Got that Leo?" Logan growled. "What has gotten into you? Have you been drinking?" Leo asked. "Hell no, I don't drink." Logan said going back to kissing Sarah. "You disgust me," Leo said as he marched off in my direction. I slipped back into the party, and I ran though the crowd, all the way to the front yard. I fell to the ground as I felt tears well up in my eyes. It wasn't only being cheated on that made me cry, it was everything. He said awful things to Leo. He told me I was special to him. How long has he been doing this? We have been together for over 2 months. Does that mean nothing to him? I felt someone sit down next to me. They put their arm around me. "What's the matter, baby?" I quickly looked to the side and saw Mason sitting next to me. At this point, I didn't care who it was. I just needed a shoulder to cry on. "Logan," I sobbed out. "What about him?" "He cheated. He doesn't care about me anymore," I cried. "It's gonna be okay. Don't worry, baby. I care about you," he said softly as he kissed my head. "Thanks." "Baby," Mason starts, "I knew he wasn't good for you. I can do so much better than-" "Mia?" A voice behind us interrupts. We both turn around and see Leo. "Mason, get away from her," Leo says angrily. "You have no right to tell me that," Mason spit back. "Look. I don't want to do this now. Mia needs someone she can trust, okay? I think you fall low on that list. Please Mason, just let me help her." "Whatever," Mason scoffed before he walked away. Leo came towards me, I was still crying. He sat down next to me and let me cry into his shoulder. "You saw him?" Leo asked. I nodded as tears slipped down my cheeks. "He's such an ass. He doesn't deserve you. You deserve so much better," Leo said softly, rubbing my arm. "He said I was special to him earlier today. Was everything he said a lie?" I cried even harder. "Shh, Mia. None of it was a lie. You are so special to a lot of people. Some people don't know how amazing you really are." "Really?" "Yes." "Thank you." I don't know what super power he has, but he can always make me feel better quickly. After about 5 minutes of sitting together on the grass in peace, I thought of something. "Leo, tell me if this is the perfect plan." I said as I turned to face him. "Sure." "So, I'll invite him over tomorrow. I'll pretend like I hadn't been here. I'll ask him how it went. If he doesn't say anything about this. . .event, I'll break up with him. If he tells me, I'll think about it. How does that sound?" "Pretty good, but if I were you, I'd break up with him either way." "Maybe. I'll just do what my heart desires," I say dramatically, throwing my hand over my heart, causing Leo to laugh. "Do you love him?" Leo asked out of the blue. "I don't know. We only dated like 2 months. I think I was getting there, but now I'm not feeling the love," I say with a sigh. "Makes sense. Are you going to tell Ryan?" "Yeah, tomorrow morning or after we break up." "Oh, so you are actually breaking up?" "Wait, what?" "Nothing, I'll just keep my mouth closed." "Well, Leo. I better get going, before Logan sees me. Bye, and thank you so much." I say as I brush the grass off the back of my dress. "Anytime, Mia. Anytime." He smiled, as I began to walk to the car. As I was continuing on my trek, I realized I didn't have the keys because I drove with Haley. I quickly turned around, "Leo!" I shouted as I made my way back to the front lawn. "Yeah?" He asked, jogging towards me. "I just realized I don't have a ride home." I said awkwardly, I hate asking people to do things for me. He chuckled. "I can take you, don't worry." I smiled in return, and we got into his car. Talk about deja vu.
