"So, how's life going with your father?" I ask Haley as we walk to math class.
"Great! He's so sweet. He feels extremely guilty about everything. I can tell he is trying so hard to do better."
"That's awesome."
"Yeah. Oh! We are moving, not far. It could be closer to you. Dad says this house carries too many bad memories, and I completely agree."
"That's great, Haley!"
"And, he wants to meet you and Joey."
"Yeah, that's a good idea." I say. We continue walking for a bit, until Haley gasps.
"What?" I ask, turning to her.
"What if we go on a double date? It'd be perfect for you and Joey to meet my dad!" Haley shouts.
"And Logan?"
"Why not?"
"Sure, okay. When?"
"Tonight!"
"What? Haley, it's Monday night."
"Hey girls!" Logan interrupts from behind us. We turn around to see Logan and Joey jogging towards us.
"Perfect," Haley says with a smirk.
"Hello, my beautiful girlfriend," Logan says once he gets over to us.
"Hi there," I say as I peck his lips.
"So, are you guys busy tonight?" Haley starts.
"Nope," Joey replies.
"I'm free," Logan adds.
"Let's go on a double date!" Haley squeaked.
"Tonight?" Joey asked.
"Yes, dummy," Haley replied.
"Hey!" Joey exclaimed, "but yeah, that works."
"I don't see why not," Logan said as he looked at me. I shrugged.
"Also, before we go out, I want you guys to meet my dad. Well, Logan, you don't really have to," Haley said as we started to walk again.
"It's cool, I'll meet you there," Logan said.
"Alrighty, so Mia and Joey come at like 5:45, and Logan come either then or at 6 when we leave."
"Uh, where are we going to go?" I asked.
"Oh, whoops. I forgot to figure that out," Haley said letting out an awkward laugh.
"Why don't we go to a restaurant?" Joey suggested.
"Yeah, what food do we feel like?" I ask.
"Sushi!" Haley screamed, causing weird looks in the hallway.
"Is everyone good with sushi?" I ask, laughing about Haley's eruption.
The boys nod, as we all head to first period.
~*~*~
"So, what do you think of him?" Haley asks as we sit down at the sushi place.
"He seems nice, I like him," I answer honestly.
"Yeah, I agree. He's a great guy." Joey says.
"Good. I'm glad you do," she smiles.
"So, what sushi do you guys want?" Logan asks.
"I love California rolls," I say.
"Same, those are my favorite," Logan says as he puts his arm around me in the booth. Haley and Joey were seated across from us.
"What are spider rolls? Do they actually put spiders inside?" Haley asks, clearly horrified.
"It's protein," Joey shrugs.
"No, guys. It's like crab. The ingredients are right under the title." I say, laughing to myself.
"Oh," Haley mutters, "well, I feel stupid."
"You are," Joey says.
"Joey! That's no way to treat me!" Haley scolds. Joey leans down and kisses her.
"Was that better?" Joey asks.
"Yes," Haley smiles.
"Well, don't we feel like a third wheel?" Logan whispers.
"I'll say," I whisper back with a smile.
"After sushi, let's hang out with each other," Logan smiles.
"Ooh, sure."
"Oh my god guys, I had a crazy dream last night," Haley starts, "Wanna hear it?"
"Wait, what about your sushi?" Logan asks.
"Oh yeah, that. I'm gonna choose the spider rolls," Haley says.
"Ditto," Joey replies.
"You copycat!" Haley screams. She can be such a child sometimes, but it sure is funny.
"Well, actually, I just wanted to use that word, ditto." Joey says.
"Splendid." Haley smiles as we all give her weird looks. "What? I just wanted to use that word, splendid."
"Oh my god," I whisper to Logan as he laughs to himself.
~*~*~
"That was fun!" Haley chirps as we all arrived back at her house. We all decided to be eco-friendly and carpool.
"Yeah, it was," I smiled at the fun time we had. "I better get going," I said walking to my car.
"Same," Logan said as he looked at me. I nodded at him, letting him know that he could come over.
"Okay, see you guys at school tomorrow!" Haley shouted as she and Joey walked up to their house.
"Bye!" I yelled before driving home.
~*~*~
"What movie?" I ask Logan. We decided to watch a movie to end the night.
"Frozen," Logan says seriously.
"You're kidding, right?" I ask. Out of all the choices, he chose Frozen.
"Not at all."
"Well, why Frozen?"
"We can act it out."
"I actually can't believe you are saying this." I say, still stunned.
"Come on, you know you have seen the movie a lot." He has a point. I'm a huge Disney fan. I have seen Frozen about 15 times.
"Fine. Let's act out Frozen."
"Great! You put in the DVD and I'll make sandwiches." Logan says heading towards the kitchen.
"What do we need sandwiches for?" I ask.
"Well, in Love is an Open Door, they say, 'we finish each others-'"
"Sandwiches." I finish.
"That's what I was going to say!" Logan exclaims as I smile.
"So, we are going to have props?"
"You bet, and you will be Elsa and Anna. I'll be the rest." Logan says, coming back in here with a few sandwiches. Or maybe just slices a bread with a single piece of lettuce in between each slice.
"No, you be Elsa, I'll be the Duke."
"Fine, I'll be everyone except Anna and the Duke of Weselton!" He said pronouncing the 'Weselton' as 'Weaselton'.
"It's Weselton!" I shout to correct him. We laugh and get in places for the movie to begin.
