Zane's POV
After what seemed like a lifetime, my brother finally showed up with Elara, they had missed half of the festivities. After making a brief apology, Elara went on to join her brothers. I don't know what they were talking about, but it looked intense; her whole body language suggested that she was bothered by something.
I wanted to listen in on their conversation because I hope it was about the project I want to do with her back at the Moonvale pack. I don't know if using her mother got to her but I hope it did.
I have realized that the longer she stays by my brother's side, the more likely she is to have his child and I can't let that happen.
" So, I don't know if you have noticed, but your brother seems to be in high spirits tonight," Selene said to me.
