There are a lot of things I don't understand about my father's decision to favor my brother over me, still after all this time. I am smart enough to know that he won't suddenly change his mind overnight.
Just now, he was doing everything he could to stop me from helping Elara, and now, not only has he agreed, but he is also offering his help. I have a hard time believing that he is genuinely concerned about Elara.
I know that he wants her memories to stay forgotten and buried, along with the truth about what happened all those years ago. Furthermore, I know that he has more to lose should she get her memories back, so now I have to wonder what his true intentions are. Why would he agree to this, knowing that he has a lot to lose?
