Today is the anual summer set off party here in lakeside I got up early this morning to come in and start baking with papa as we get ready for the big barbque for all of the locals and seasonal patrons. there are never really any new people around here not ones that stay long. A couple comes in for breakfast a little after we open to everyone else they look like a normal couple but I feel the silver radiating from under their clothing as I take their orders.
I keep a straight somber face taking their order mostly because I know they can't hurt me not as bad as a regular wolf. that is another perk of being a mali-mute I can sense the danger better and the tools that hurt other wolves have to be tripled to even effect me.
