CHAPTER 7-THE FALL OF AN EMPIRE

861 Words
Chin-I is a great commander as he fought so many wars and he only lost once for his records but now he has to face Hitokiri-Kenshi which is also strong as in the pugilist world, only few can take Hitokiri-Kenshi down. Chin-I, riding his horse and holding his mighty spear, was running towards the Hitokiri-Kenshi direction as Hitokiri-Kenshi was also dashing toward him. When the spear swung Hitokiri-Kenshi, he quickly slid down by passing through the spear. And at the same time, he also cut off one of the horse legs that caused Chin-I to fall to the ground. When Chin-I got up, Hitokiri-Kenshi already attacked Chin-I with a thrust straight. Because it was too sudden, Chin-I can only block with his spear. Actually, Chin-I's body was bigger and stronger than Hitokiri-Kenshi, but since Hitokiri-Kenshi inner Qi-energy was powerful compared to Chin-I, he pushed Chin-I spears with Qi-energy that caused Chin-I to drop back a meter away. But it still meant nothing to Chin-I. Then Chin-I tried to use all his might to rush toward Hitokiri-Kenshi to give a surprise attack. Chin-I s***h with his spears from left to right to Hitokiri-Kenshi’s direction simultaneously meanwhile Hitokiri-Kenshi can only evade and block as slowly he was pushed backward each time he received the strikes from Chin-I. Then with final strikes, Chin-I thrusts at Hitokiri-Kenshi with his spear causing Hitokiri-Kenshi to block it with his sword as he has no other choice. Chin-I still kept pressing on Hitokiri-Kenshi’s sword. Slowly by slowly, Hitokiri-Kenshi was pushed back little by little from inch to inch, but still not so effectively. Then Chin-I suddenly stopped pressing him, and struck an uppercut to swing his sword away as Hitokiri-Kenshi held his sword horizontally with both hands when he tried to block the thrust from Chin-I earlier. With that, the Hitokiri-Kenshi defense now has open wide and Chin-I can kill him directly. However, Hitokiri-Kenshi already predicted it, so when Chin-I tried to stab him in the chest, he spun to the right side quickly. Luckily, Chin-I spear only strikes on his left arm and wounds it by passing over him from the side. If Hitokiri-Kenshi did not react on perfect timing, he might have already died. Now, Chin-I position was standing a little far ahead of Hitokiri-Kenshi. Then Hitokiri-Kenshi sees a chance coming, so he strikes at Chin-I while rushing toward Chin-I with a speedy s***h. Certainly, Chin-I quickly evaded it as well but the attack from Hitokiri-Kenshi was not only that. He kept strikes at Chin-I one after another until the final strikes, he steps backward a little from Chin-I, then he strikes again with full speed and power with spinning thrust. Chin-I only block it simple with his spear. However, Chin-I didn’t knew that Hitokiri-Kenshi inner qi-energy much powerful than him, that Hitokiri-Kenshi gathered much of his qi-energy on that spinning so that caused a big explosion pressure surrounding them as they’re both were pushed away as well by that pressure from that explosion. After that, Hitokiri-Kenshi quickly landing on the ground and with one push, he makes a spinning backward in the mid-air by release one of his sword techniques, “Sōei-Anken / Shuāngyǐng-ànjiàn (TwinShadows-DarkSword)” to strike double crescent shape Qi-energy to Chin-I direction as this technique is the level 2 sword techniques of Mukeifūken-ryū. Certainly, since it was too fast, the first strike he still can evade it, but the second one he was forced to block it with his spear since the first strike and the second one's range of interval was so short so he can choose to evade one of them. Even though he had blocked it but still Chin-I was pushed 2 meters backward and flying in the mid-air but he quickly made a reverse somersault to avoid further damage on his body. After just landing on the ground safely, Chin-I quickly got back on his feet then dash in the mid-air by thrusting forward at Hitokiri-Kenshi with his spear even he was shocked and a little scared at the same time, how come Hitokiri-Kenshi suddenly released such a strong and powerful sword skill. He knew that Hitokiri-Kenshi was actually hiding his original skills from the beginning so he must be very cautious to deal with this guy. Hitokiri-Kenshi only standing there and watching Chin-I coming his way. After it was quite close, he jumped in the mid-air while spinning to get on the top of chin-I and passing over. Chin-I already predicted it so he quickly turned over by releasing his Qi-energy blow by slashing with his spear to create a crescent shape. Hitokiri-Kenshi who just landed on the ground can feel the pressure came from that strike, so he quickly using his sword as a support by turning his body upside down while his sword still stabbing on the ground and with one push to the top, he makes a somersault spin in the mid-air to evade the blow from Chin-I. After that, with still in the mid-air he quickly release his other sword techniques, “Shikū-Kenkyo / Sìkōng-Jiànxū (FourVoid-Swords)” to blow at Chin-I.
