CHAPTER 8-THE DEATH OF THE COMMANDER

858 Words
This technique is the level 4 sword technique of Mukeifūken-ryū, by creating 3 of his shadows one after another. Each of his shadows appeared will release Qi-energy to their enemy and for the last one the original user, will suddenly appear in front of the enemy then stabs him. Chin-I was not a beginner in the battlefield, so he knew how to predict his opponent's movements. No matter what, to climb up to his position right now to be a commander of war, was not an easy task. He started from a small soldier at the beginning and slowly climbed up to where he belongs right now. So, Chin-I was not an easy opponent to defeat. However, Hitokiri-Kenshi has 2 advantages compared to Chin-I. The first one he’s skill level above Chin-I and second one, he’s much younger than Chin-I. So his speed, agility and stamina was above Chin-I. Chin-I quickly used his spear to block the blow from Hitokiri-Kenshi but still, he was pushed a few meters backward as the pressure from Hitokiri-Kenshi was too harsh and fast. If an ordinary person, would end up dead already because of the Qi-energy. When Chin-I was distracted from previous blow, he doesn’t knew that Hitokiri-Kenshi already release the other sword techniques, “Kazamai-Rokuken / Fēngwǔ-Liújiàn (WindDance-SixSwords)” which is the level 6 of Mukeifūken-ryū. The blow just came one after another, and it didn't give him time to take a break. This technique allows the user to move/teleport in zig-zag direction as if the user was dancing, then all the shadows in zig-zag direction will combine as one then the user strikes in mid-air by s***h vertically on the opponent followed by uppercut s***h to finish it. By hitting this technique, Chin-I was blown a few meters away before hitting the ground, and was wounded badly. Not only that, his spear was also broken in 2. Even Chin-I has reminded himself to be cautious, but in the end he still lost. He’s still lying on the ground as he can’t do anything yet. Some of his soldiers tried to save him by confronting Hitokiri-Kenshi. A bunch of them against one Hitokiri-Kenshi. However, it was no use already since the moment their commander lost, their fighting morale kept decreasing rapidly. Soon or later, all of them will be wiped away. They’re just trying to postpone the time. However, the question is until when? They’re struggling without any meaning exactly. Chin-I who still suffered from injuries, quickly tried to stand up as he knew his soldiers still backed him up but he couldn't do anything as his body was hurt so bad, he could only kneel down. Within a minute, those soldiers who tried to block Hitokiri-Kenshi, were all blown away. When Chin-I lifts his head up, something passes through him. It’s Hitokiri-Kenshi Now he is standing behind Chin-I, facing back to back. Then Chin-I can feel his head can’t turn over anymore, and slowly his sight faded away. Turns out his throat was cut open. The soldiers were shocked as they saw their commander holding his throat when Hitokiri-Kenshi passed over him. Eventually, Hitokiri-Kenshi slashed Chin-I neck earlier with his other sword technique, “Ikken-Fūkon / Yījiàn-Fēnghún (OneSword-SealedSoul)” which is the level 1 of the Mukeifūken-ryū. Not only that, the other vice commanders also have been defeated by other pugilists. Then the remaining army are run helter-skelter as they already split apart running everywhere with no fighting spirit anymore. With their commander and vice commanders down, the remaining soldiers are just “like a lost chick”. Scattered everywhere. Of course, as Hitokiri-Kenshi was killed the most for the record in history, all of his allies noticed him. Not only that, the most shocking thing is that some of them notice him using the Mukeifūken-ryū. Obviously, they’re Ryohyō accomplices who were involved in annihilating Unkensō and also his Shishō, Chōbun. They don’t know where he learned that martial art sword technique but no matter what, it must be related to Unkensō or Chōbun, or both. Honestly to say, Hitokiri-Kenshi didn't often use the sword-skills from the book as he already realized before the war started, some of this pugilists must be comrades of Ryohyō so it's better for him not to use it frequently as they might recognize that sword-skills. During the years when he became a mercenary and traveled around the mainland, he also learned some other martial-arts and other sword-skills to hide his original martial-arts that came from the book, to prevent unnecessary things from happening. Even in the war, to kill those lower soldiers of En-Koku, he always used some other sword skills that he learned from his other Shishō. However, when he meets a strong opponent like Chin-I, he has no choice but to use the Mukeifūken-ryū. If not, he won't be able to defeat that commander of war from En-Koku. The point is, currently they don’t know who he is so they did not dare to confront him yet as they don’t know how strong Hitokiri-Kenshi is.
