CHAPTER 9-THE REVENGE STARTED

Not to mention, he’s the only one that was harsh and brave to charge at the En-Koku army, all along the war. So for now those evil people only kept silent without touching him but after the war ended, they will tell Ryohyō about this. Actually, Hitokiri-Kenshi wanted them to confront him so he can recognize each and every one of them before he finishes them as well. But unfortunately, it didn’t happen at all. All of them were busy taking down all the En-Koku army. Not long after, they broke into the imperial city together with the rebels from inside the city. Together they rushed forward to the King’s Palace. Certainly, along the way there are still some soldiers that protected the Palace and their King. However, those soldiers were not matched to those pugilists. Don’t mention about those inner soldiers, even the outnumbered soldiers outside the imperial city were not matched to them as well. Soon they had seized the palace. The En-Koku Emperor along with his families, ministers and officers, has been seized by them as well. Then they beheaded the En-Koku Emperor as they wanted to show the head of the Emperor to En-Koku commoners to make them obey those rebels as from now on, En-Koku is under Ki-Koku jurisdiction. Meanwhile all En-Koku Emperor’s families and relatives are executed as well. En-Koku ministers and officers that are ready to surrender to Ki-Koku will be treated as Ki-Koku officers but their position will be the same as before or not, depending on the Ki-Koku Emperor’s decision. Those who are not willing to surrender (including the commoners), all being executed as well, just like their Emperor. Since then, En-Koku was only a name and became part of mainland’s history. Now is the era of Ki-Koku. Slowly the world turns to peaceful days, for now. The commoners go on with their daily life again as usual. All the pugilists that still survived from the war, all of them returned to their own lives as well, including Hitokiri-Kenshi. Since the En-Koku was just taken over by En-Koku, there were so many things to settle in, including the mercenary-guild which was not yet active temporarily either. After 6 months, the underground world and mercenary-guild just started opening again, just like the old times. Hitokiri-Kenshi returns as a mercenary again. He starts to do his job and meanwhile investigating those people that he met in the war which might be related to Ryohyō from year to year. Then one day, a bunch of people came to confront him when he was resting at a tea-stall on the side of the street outside a town.

Unknown person 1: “Hey, kiddo… Hand over the book…”

Unknown person 2: “Yeah, We might let you go if you give it to us…”

Hitokiri-Kenshi: “Huh, what book??”

Unknown person 3: “Don’t pretend to be stupid, asshole!!! Just hand it over…!!!”

Hitokiri-Kenshi: “Look… I don’t know what you're talking about, but if you're looking for trouble, I won’t stay quiet either…” (hold his sword that he put on table earlier),

Unknown person 4: “You really don’t know your situation, huh??”

Unknown person 1: “Stop wasting time with him, let’s get him first… Then forced him to say, hyaahhh…”

Without talking anymore, the person no.1 came rushing at him then followed by the other one. Those 4 persons were quite powerful pugilists that can’t be underestimated. Both of them charge at him, then he uses his qi-energy to push the table flying away to their direction with one hand. Of course, they blew that table into 2 parts with their weapons. However, when they just blew that table away, the chair was coming as well, as Hitokiri-Kenshi already stood up and kicked the chair in the direction again. They’re also blown the chair into pieces as it was so easy for them to destroy but they don’t know it was just camouflage to distract their mind as the real attack come from Hitokiri-Kenshi’s sword, as he release his sword technique “Sōei-Anken / Shuāngyǐng-ànjiàn (TwinShadows-DarkSword)” at those two people and blown them away and hit on the ground. The other 2 were just standing, saw his 2 comrades down so they pulled out their swords as well and attacked at Hitokiri-Kenshi. 2 against 1, they fought equally for a time being. Even Hitokiri-Kenshi is not using Mukeifūken-ryū against those 2 people, but still he can easily match them as they can't even wound him. Those 2 people used their sword techniques to blow at him, but he kept evading and blocking it. Then when those 2 people suddenly stopped and looked at each other as they were giving each other signals for their next attack. Certainly, Hitokiri-Kenshi realized that so he prepared for it. One person blew his sword technique at Hitokiri-Kenshi when he rushed toward Hitokiri-Kenshi so Hitokiri-Kenshi quickly evaded that since it was easy. However, the other one quickly charges in by using his sword technique as well to attack him, as the distance was too close, Hitokiri-Kenshi can only block it with his sword as he was pushed a few steps backward.
