I ran through the trees led more by my bond than a trail. I felt the cool mud splattering my legs. I fell down to my knees as I felt an intense pain shoot through me. I stumbled, pushing myself clumsily up, quickly realising I wasn't hurt, but that made it worse. My heart hammered rapidly at the realisation: Noah was hurt. The faint smell of blood bloomed in the air; I knew that scent Noah's blood. It was also far more than a few drops of it. I would know that scent anywhere. "Noah," I whispered in my head, "I'm sorry, I am so sorry I'm coming." Our bond was still new, just a flicker, but I still felt his presence draw closer with every second.
