"Don't sleep." I cautioned Noah as his eyes slid closed, his fingers seeming to slacken on their grip around his neck. The smell of blood filled the air inside the small car. It was heavy and sweet. It made my wolf poke her head into the air, sniffing intently. I didn't think about how much blood he must have lost to flavour the air with it to such a degree, but his clothes were stained near black from the liquid that still flowed far too freely from his neck and chest.
