The Master came down from the fourth floor along the way he saw a few of the servants that he had already talked to but now they were smiling and laughing. It was such a change from when he had arrived that afternoon. As he walked through the servants even smiled at him as they carried out their daily task. “This is how things are supposed to be,” thought the Master. Aiden O’Flynne had made his way from his room on the second floor down to the main floor where the dinning hall was. Along the way he admired paintings as well as the tapestries. He noticed that the house had different feeling than it had been his stay thus far. The feeling was cheerful, unlike the deary feeling that had been hanging over the castle. He noticed the servants were talking and laughing, as they went about their tasks. He smiled to himself, he did not know why but he was glad for the change. Lord Marcus dreaded have dinner that night. Having two Vampires in one room, then to top that off he angered one of them, would make this evening very interesting to say the least. He wished he could be anywhere in the world but here at this dinner. Lord Marcus waited outside the dinning hall by the doors as is expected of a Headmaster. The Master saw the young Vampire walking the halls looking paintings, The Master watched him for some time as he walked the halls. He certainly had a different air than expected. He acted almost as if the world was new to him, almost like he was just seeing it for the first time. This intrigued The Master, his actions certainly different than what his reputation would suggest. “Maybe the stories are true,” he thought. He decided that if the stories were true he would him the young Lord in anyway he could. The Master walked over towards where Lord O’Flynne stood, as he approached he spoke: “Magnificat, is it not?” “Yes. It truly is. Who is she?” Lord O’Flynne asked. He had never took his eyes from the painting. The Master stood there next Lord O’Flynne, looking at the painting, with sadness in his eyes as he remembered every detail about her, he soft skin her beautiful green eyes, her dark hair, even the sound of her laughter. “She was a Vampire Lady, she was once the Mistress of this home.” the Master said in a sadden tone. “I see. What happened to her?” Lord O’Flynne asked. “She was killed by a group pf humans, who sought revenge, for something happened that my family had no connection with. The town of Kurth was destroyed, everything was burned, even some people were burned alive. The people of Kurth or what was left of them, they destroyed our Manor that was near there they burned to the ground and killed many of the servants. She died in the attack trying to save as many from the fire as she could.” Answered The Master. “I see. I am sorry for your loss.” Answered Lord O’Flynne. This action puzzled The Master, he knew that O’Flynne was the who destroyed the town of Kurth. By extension this caused the death of his beloved Lady, yet he apologized for what happened. This was well it was surprising, he hoped that the stories were true, and this act was a sign that O’Flynne really was trying to change. Lord O’Flynne stood there eyes fixed on the painting as The Master spoke, it was if he could see with his minds eye what happened. Then an emotion that he had never felt before, especially about what he had done, washed over him. It was guilt. He was the reason for the death of this beautiful woman, a Vampire no less, was killed. How could he be so reckless? How could he be so cruel? Why did he now care? These were question that danced around in his mind. He did not know what to say, he did not know what to do. This was a situation he was completely clueless about. He had watched humans enough to guess that he should apologize for what he had done. So he followed that example, even though he knew it would not change what he had done. In a way he hoped it would help him have answers, even if it was not then but at some point. “You must be The Master.” said O’Flynne after a moment silence. “I am. You must be my guest. Lord O’Flynne. Please excuses my absence upon your arrival.” The Master answered he bowed slightly. Lord O’Flynne turned and faced The Master and bowed in return. He then spoke: “My Lord, I do not mean any offense, but I had been given the wrong impression as to who was the true Master of this home. I apologize for not making arrangements to speak with you in person.” “I see, well, Lord O’Flynne I am please that you fell comfortable enough to tell me this. I’ve heard as much since my return. I am sorry for the confusion. I hope to have this resolved tonight at dinner.” answered the Master. O’Flynne caught the glint in the eyes of The Master, it was one of amusement. He was not sure if it was at his expense or of the situation that was obvious to O’Flynne that Lord Marcus had gotten himself into. He smiled to himself and thought, “Dinner I do believe will be interesting, if not entertaining.” The Master gestured and lead the way from the painting to the dinning hall, The Master asked general questions about O’Flynne’s stay. They both arrived at the doors of the dinning hall where Lord Marcus was waiting. He bowed then opened the doors and said: “Dinner is served.”
