Chapter 5: "The Money Trail"

Lola's heart raced as she left the office building. She had stumbled upon something big, something that could bring down the entire company. She couldn't wait to start digging deeper.

She decided to start by following the money trail. She spent the next few days pouring over financial records, looking for any suspicious transactions.

And then, she found it. A large transfer of funds to an offshore account. Lola's eyes widened as she realized the implications. This was the smoking g*n she had been looking for.

She decided to pay a visit to the bank, to see if she could get any more information about the transaction. As she arrived at the bank, she was greeted by a friendly teller.

"Can I help you?" the teller asked.

"I'm looking for information about a transaction," Lola replied. "A large transfer of funds to an offshore account."

The teller's expression turned serious. "I'm not sure I can help you with that," she said. "That information is confidential."

Lola smiled sweetly. "I'm a journalist," she said. "I have a right to know."

The teller hesitated, then nodded. "Okay, I'll see what I can do."

A few minutes later, the teller returned with a printout of the transaction. Lola's eyes scanned the page, her heart racing with excitement.

"This is it," she said to herself. "This is the proof I need."

As she left the bank, Lola felt a sense of satisfaction. She had uncovered a major scandal, and she knew that her story would be a bombshell.

But as she walked back to her car, she noticed something strange. A black SUV was following her.

Lola's heart began to race as she realized that she was in danger. She quickly got into her car and drove away, the SUV following close behind.

She didn't know what she had gotten herself into, but she knew that she had to get to the bottom of it.
