My life as Amy Witmore My alarm buzzed on making my eardrum hurt,My normal morning routine for the summer, Alarm comes on by 4 am,I try to tidy up the house prepare breakfast and before I knew it ,It was already 6pm. " Dad…. I called out from the kitchen. My Dad.. Simpson witmore,My Dad and Mom had me when they were still in college and Dad had to drop out to provide our necessity but after mom graduated she got a job in a big firm and she had an affair with her boss bla,bla,bla and they both decided to end that chapter of their lives and they decided to divorce and that was the last time I saw mom,I saw her once on my Tv screen but I doubt she was the one. My Dad has been the one looking after me since I was five. " Sebastian ain't you coming out??? I asked again. " Hey sunshine…. " Dad why are you dressed like that??? " Catherine do you have to do this, Dad said searching for my inhaler. " Amy you will be just fine without me,She said. " Mommy,I cried. Dad took me to my room and after dealing with my asthma attack, I held on to my dad's jacket. " Dad please beg mommy not to leave us,I pleaded. " Just stay here,Dad said. I just stood outside soaking in the rain watching my dad beg my mom and I ran to where she was. " Amy please stay inside,My mom said. " Mommy please don't leave dad, Please mommy,I cried. A black SUV came and took mom away the last time I saw her was when dad took her to court and I know dad still miss her because he still wishes her happy birthday secretly even if she's dead to me. Tears always flow down my eyes when I flashback to that night. " Aishhhhh am late,I ran to my room got ready,I grabbed my phone and left. " Hello Amy, Our landlady waved. " Hello Mrs cade,I stopped at her place. " How are you doing today ??? She smiled. " Am good,I said patting her cat. " Are you off for work ??? She asked. " Yes and am late,See you later,I hop on my bike and headed for McCarthy's burger shop one of my work place. " Amy good to see you,Mr Spencer waved. " Uncle how do you do ??? I waved my uncle that lived just a street from us. I arrived late and I just parked my bike and ran inside. " Mrs Leah has been looking everywhere for you, Crystal said. Crystal is my close friend since middle school and we have been inseparable,We are colleagues almost in all my places of work. " What did you say ??? " That you had diarrhea, Crystal laughed. " That's smart,I gave her a high-five and I took my apron and hair net and quickly wore it. " When did you get here ??? Mrs Leah asked. " About one hour ago, I lied and Crystal kept winking at me like I just made a mistake. " Really,I was here about thirty minutes ago and crystal said you had diarrhea.. " Yeah I had to go to the restroom,It was a number 2 ,I smiled. " We will close really early today, It's my anniversary today,Mrs Leah said. I worked as a waitress at McCarthy's burger and it was the least paying but it was still an addition to my other jobs during school hours I worked here and at Mrs Walter's. " When is Mrs Walter coming back from her trip ???? Crystal asked. " Hopefully next week and it's her birthday too,So maybe you can actually help with that cake you promised to help me bake,I said. " Let's do it, Crystal smiled. We were down with work before noon and the other part timers came along and we headed for the movie theater where we work as cleaners for just two hours. " We can squat at the back and watch some movies,I suggested. " Why don't we just buy a ticket and some popcorn and cola and enjoy the movie, Crystal frowned. " Well if I didn't have bills to help dad pay, I would have done that but I can't,I smiled. " It's just few dollars,Are you kidding me right now??? Crystal laughed. " That can go into my piggy bank,I smiled. " You are something else, Crystal giggled. I did an all round total of five jobs today and it was dark already. " Am heading home, Crystal said. " Okay have a safe trip home,I smiled. " Where are you going???? " I need to borrow a book from the library, I waved her and hop on my bike. The library was my other home, What do I call it like an escape room to all the troubles life throws at me. " Hello beautiful,Leo smiled. Leo has been working here at the central library for a while now and apart from the fact that his London accent drives me nuts,I have a big crush on him. Leo smiled " The time spent on the beach can get me money for something more relevant, So I don't think I really don't think I can take a break from work,I smiled. " Of course I knew it's free,I lied. " So just take the coffee, Leo gave me a cup of coffee with his million dollars smile. " Hmmmmm nice, Have you considered working at Morning cafe, I work there it's amazing plus you make the best coffee,I said. " Will you enquire for me ??? Leo laughed. " Are you seriously going to work there??? " Are you really working there???? Leo smiled. " I just said I did,I laughed. " Okay then,Leo smiled. " Now what do you have at the fantasy category??? I asked. " When are you going to try the romance books??? He asked giving me the list of fantasy book. " When are you going to realize I care less about romance right now, Fantasy book actually make me believe out there I have a world of my own,I said. " You always have something to say, Leo laughed. " That's me,I grabbed the list from his desk and I decided to check them out. I finally picked The Witcher. " Am going to borrow this,I said. " Okay see you by tomorrow,Leo said. " Don't act like you are always happy to see me,I said. " Well you are practically the only customer that I relate with,Leo said. " I bet you say that to every lady that walks pass that door,I giggled. " Well you should be lucky I only see it to pretty ladies alone, Anyways I saw you today at the front of my house… Did I mention our landlady is actually Leo's mom,So technically we are neighbors so I see this pretty boy everyday.
