“How was your trip, sir?” John, the butler asked, greeting Sebastian as he entered the house. Sebastian smiled tiredly. “Exhausting,” he replied, shrugging his suit jacket off and handing it over to John. “But I’m glad it’s finally over. Three days without Chloe was torture. How is she doing anyway? Any health concerns? Did she eat well?” John chuckled. “Don’t worry, sir. Miss Chloe is fine. She ate her meals perfectly and was very well-behaved.” Sebastian breathed a sigh of relief. “Good. That’s good,” he said and started heading upstairs to his bedroom. He needed to rest.
