Part 1: A happy family
Hot white rice and chicken stew, that was how mommy liked to serve it every sunday evening, so we never missed it my sister and I. They called me Junior even though I was older than my sister, I loved my dad, mum, my lil sis, Samantha, we were a happy family, forgot to mention white gray grandpa too, a very funny old man. We were not very well to do, but we didn't care much about our financial situation, like i said, we were a happy family. We would always go for holidays to my cousin's house Daniel, we were more like best friends, always, young and free spirited, and this was all in the 90s. My dad was a mechanic, they called him Willi de Mech, he was really good at what he did, so everyone one was confident in his work. I always joined dad in his workshop were he fixed everyone's paralysed four moving wheels, dad was my role model and mentor I loved him, he would always teach me to do what is right and always be kind to people regardless, above all he loved mummy so much that he calls her his Sunflower, she was indeed a flower, a beautiful one at that. I always wanted to assist my parents to cater for my family because, I saw how hard my dad would work, and the stress my mom passed through to do petit trading so she could support dad, and still, she would come back home to prepare dinner for us, and this made me love her even more, I loved them both.
I studied very hard so that I could qualify for the ongoing scholarship program in my school, I needed this scholarship so that the burden of paying for college expenses will be lifted from mom and dad. I was among the best students in my school, but that wasn't enough because, only the best three students in the school will emerge. It was really difficult for me because, I needed to assist dad in his workshop, that wasn't something he will be up against alone, and we also needed the money too, else no more Rice and Chicken stew on sunday evening.
