Monika settled down at her workstation and switched to the server covering the telephone bugging and camera feedback. She went to the flagged items first and saw a call from Gia to Jim Morrison in New York. She transferred it to her headset.
"I tell you, Jim," she heard Gia say, "the bastard tried to kill me. To bomb my car."
"Why didn't you tell me this before? Good God, Gia, the man's a psychopath. First, he pulls all sorts of underhanded tricks to get me out of the running to invest in Maddens and bribes the family shareholders and now he's homing in on you. No doubt because you're planning to sue him about the takeover. But to bomb a car! Gee, I can hardly believe that."
