Talia woke up in bed to meet the face of her fiance, Graham. "Good morning babe."
"How long have you been watching me?"
Graham checked his watch. "Roughly an hour," He gets up. "I enjoyed it."
Talia blushed. "I can't believe how cheesy you are." She comments as she sits up.
Graham leans in to kiss her. "Tomorrow's the big day, hurry up. We have much to do."
"You don't have to tell me babe, I can't wait to be legally binded to you."
"I love it when you speak with a formal tone, it turns me on."
"Perv."
"I love you too."
With that, Talia and Graham took a shower together and got ready.
"First we pitch the business."
Their first work of order was to pitch a business idea they had.
They had always dreamed of starting their business together all they need is the loan.
Talia and Graham found themselves in front of the manager of the bank.
"I have run the calculations, survey and several other tests, our business will flourish enough for us to pay back the 5 Million dollars." Graham just finished presenting the pitch.
They spent the entire night working on it together.
There was a tensed moment of silence...
Talia grabs his hand as they awaited the manager's decision.
"I love it! It's a done deal."
Talia and Graham dropped their jaws before embracing each other. Graham vigorously shook the Manager.
Back at home, Talia was getting ready to head out with her friends Tracy and Ace to celebrate. Graham also had plans for his bachelors party. The wedding is tomorrow after all.
But before they both head out, they finalised their new business documents and signed.
"Congratulations, you're a CEO."
"Congratulations, you're also a CEO."
"We are Co-CEO."
"We're the perfect power couple."
"We should kiss."
"Seconded."
After sharing a steTalia moment. Talia left first with Tracy and Ace.
Tracy was Talia's childhood friend and best friend while Ace is their Gay male friend. Their bond tightened further during their college days.
---
Talia and her friends hit their favorite club, raising glasses to her achievement with Graham and toasting again for her wedding tomorrow.
"Cheers to Talia and Graham's success!" Ace exclaimed, clinking glasses with the group. Tracy joined in, adding, "And to Talia's big day tomorrow!"
In the crowd, a man in an expensive suit, Grover Jewel, gawked at Talia. His friend, Wally who was also dressed expensively couldn't help but notice this.
"The world's most expensive bachelor is shamelessly checking a lady out at the bar without even making a move."
"Ha ha, very funny." Grover rolled his eyes as he takes a sip at his drink. "But I'm afraid this bachelor has alot of things on his mind than worrying about some woman. She's beautiful alright but I don't have the intention of making a move on her."
Wally pats his back. "Sure, whatever helps you sleep at night bro."
"Stabbing you in the eye might." Grover jokes as he continues to admire Talia from afar.
The laughter of the trio echoed throughout the club despite the loud music. It was truly a joyous occasion.
Talia, laughing with Tracy, said, "Let's rock this karaoke!" Tracy agreed, "But remember, no wild partying tonight. Tomorrow's your big day, Talia!"
Talia and Tracy enjoyed karaoke, ensuring they didn't overindulge, mindful of Talia's impending wedding.
Grover, still captivated by Talia, whispered to Wally, "She's something special." Wally teased, "Don't let her slip away, Grover. Go talk to her!"
"Second meeting. That way I'll know she's the one."
This time, it was Wally who rolled his eyes. "I can't believe I'd hear you rant like that. Who are you and what did you do to my best friend?"
"Shut up Wally."
"They're leaving, you sure about this? I mean only a lady harboring an evil spirit can reject you bro."
"I'm sure." Grover replied as he watches Talia and her friends leave the bar.
"She's a true gem," he muttered to himself.

It was finally the wedding day.
Talia was dressed in a stunning white gown, her face beaming with joy.
The venue was adorned with flowers and filled with the excited chatter of friends and family.
Talia, filled with anticipation, walked down the aisle, but Graham was nowhere to be seen.
"Where's Graham?" Talia turned to the priest. He shrugged.
"How am I supposed to know? I'm not the groom." Talia darts him a look and sighs. "He's probably running late." She uttered with the intention of waiting for her Groom.
As minutes stretched into an hour, worry overshadowed her joyous day.
Anxiously, she called Graham, her heart sinking as the phone remained unanswered.
"He's not picking up, why isn't he picking up?"
Thoughts of his well-being raced through her mind, fearing the worst.
Overwhelmed by concern, Talia hurriedly rushed back home, her white gown trailing behind her. "Graham! Babe! Are you there?"
There was no answer. She rushed upstairs to their room.
Upon entering their shared space, the heart-wrenching truth unfolded.
There lay Graham, in bed with another woman.
"Graham..." Talia covered her mouth. Tears began to drip from her eyes.
Graham shoves the woman on top of him. " Talia!" He jolts up, picking his boxers and putting it on. "I can ex-"
"Explain? You can't. It's our wedding day Graham. For f***s sake!"
Shock and disbelief washed over her, shattering the once joyous wedding day.
Tears welled up in Talia's eyes; betrayal clouded what was meant to be a celebration. The painful revelation left Talia grappling with unexpected emotions, questioning the love and commitment she had believed they shared.
"What kind of guy brings a random home to sleep with her on his wedding day?" She asked bawling out.
Graham couldn't even look her in the eyes, "I'm sorry... I messed up, but just listen to me."
"No, please leave. I want nothing to do with you."
"But Talia."
"Don't touch me!" She slapped his hand when he tried reaching out to her. "Just Go!" She turns her back as she's unable to look at him no more.
Unbeknownst to Talia, Graham was wearing a devious smile as he exited the room.
Talia plops to her knees when she heard the sound of Graham leaving the house.
"Its over. To think we were supposed to start our life anew today, as a couple and business partners."
She gasps when a thought crossed her mind. "The documents!"
She browses through every nook and cranny of the room but she couldn't find them. "Graham wouldn't..." She holds her mouth.
But then again, after what he just did on a day like today, what's to stop him from taking the ownership papers of their new company?
"You know what? He can keep it, I want nothing to do with him anymore."
___
Talia spent the next couple of days in the pool of her depression.
Tracy had visited to check up on her.
"Get up." Tracy tugged at Talia's blanket.
"Go away, Tracy."
"You did not just tell your best friend in the world to go away."
"I want to be alone."
"I know, that was why I gave you space for so many days, but today... You're getting off your sorry ass!"
"I don't wanna."
"Girl, need I remind you who I am. Sure Graham is a bastard who deserves to die. But why should you be gloomy forever? The Talia I know wouldn't let a setback like that hold her back."
"Its not a setback! It's my life crumbling into millions of pieces."
"No it's not, you're alive. Well and healthy. That's all you need to kick things up a notch again. We'll start by bagging you a work. Now I managed to pull some strings and got you an interview with Jewel Corp."
Talia jolts up from the bed. "Jewel Corp? That's that's..."
"Yep, the no. 1 company in the tech department governed by Grover Jewel, The world's richest bachelor."
Talia's eyes had life in them again, "You should have led with that dummy."
"I know."
"Thankyou."
"Thank me with a drink after you get the job okay?"
"Sure thing, Tracy. You're the best!"
"I know, now get ready we leave in 10."
"10?" Talia tilts her head.
"The interview is in half an hour." Said Tracy as she claps her hand. "Chop chop, let's goooo!"
What followed next was a montage scene of Talia preparing. She showers, chose her clothes with Tracy's help and had her breakfast.
"Now, let's do this thing!" Talia pumps her fist in the air.
