[PREMONITION]

"We finally meet at last" A voice spoke trough my head while I'm still unconscious.

"Who are you?" I responded with a question.

"I am no one for I am forgotten" he said.

Puzzled, I asked many questions to everything I've noticed so far.

"Where am I?" I said.

"You are currently on my Astral Plane, your consciousness at least." he said.

"Quite dark for an Astral Plain." I said to him

"Haha! Open your eyes mortal." he laughed

I didn't realized my eyes are closed so I open them to see many dots of light surrounding me with some kind of cloud that's floating around. It's vivid colors makes up the loneliness of this place.

"Where are you?" I asked

"I am everywhere" his voice got a little louder

"It's kinda awkward If I try to speak with an entity I can't see." I shrugged while looking around

"I see, so this is what mortals do." he responded

"Then I'll just transfer a bit of my consciousness to a vessel." he added.

Suddenly, a human-like figure appeared out of nowhere.

"Does this satisfy your needs?" He asked

His appearance looked like a human but he doesn't have a face or any other figure, he just have limbs and his body looks like there are galaxies inside him. It's like he's the embodiment of a whole universe.

"Could be better but it will do." I said

"You're full of yourself even though you're still an infant." he said

"Mortals are such funny beings." he added

"Being confined here for eons made my curiosity grow, I am bored." he said

"You are imprisoned." I said

"Yes. Other higher beings are scared of my capabilities that's why they imprisoned me." He answered.

I can't determine if he's telling the truth or what his intentions are for he doesn't have a face. I might as well just ask him.

"Tell me your true objective." I asked

"It's still to early for that, you're still an infant." He said

Annoyed by his words, I grew impatient since I can't do anything to attack him and he doesn't have any ill intentions towards me.

"It seems that I can't do anything else here." I said

"Yes, and you can't attack me as well human." It seems that he's reading my mind.

"Before you go to your reality, take this." he handed out a shining orb from his hand.

I tried commanding the black matter to surround Azthetoph's hand yet he didn't respond. I tried consuming his entire arm.

"You can have it as well" he said

Suddenly, the black matter hurriedly returned to my body and I can feel their fear. It seems that I pissed of a God. But he didn't show it to me.

"Now you have immortality, it is still nothing but a grain of sand in the vast dessert of creation. But you can still accomplish many things in the mortal realm." He explained

"Why do you keep helping me?" I asked.

I woke up fully rested on the cave I've found and it's already dawn. Feeling a little dazed, I got outside the cave while using it's walls as guide. Now that I'm immortal, it shouldn't be much of a problem to hunt down all creatures inside this forest. I've summoned the map of the whole forest and I took a look at it's circular structure. Every region of the forest has a designated color on it to confirm the difficulties of monsters lurking here and my main objective is the lonely mountain at its center which is colored in red.

So that's the effect of my consciousness going to the astral realm, it's a good thing nothing happened to my body while I'm not here in my current reality.

I won't have to worry about dying in this realm since I am now immortal and it's good that I don't feel hunger anymore but my body is still reacting to find food. It will be troublesome if I don't train my mind and body to reject earthly feelings. In my previous life, I always steal or kill someone to put food on my plate, still better than working at their fatories and they will pay you money enough to buy a piece of bread for a day. The greedy faces of those who control every factories are swimming in large amounts of money everyday while the ones who are working hard only get a little. f*****g scumbags. If there's a way to go back to my place while I possess this power, I will gain control to their shitty world.

Going back to my plan, I can try and conquer every region of this place from the easist to hardest since it's circular in shape. That way, I will slowly but surely level up enough to proceed deeper into the forest with ease.

I summoned my sword and ready all the skills I've got. I prepared for a sprinting position while I focus Aura Burst all over my body and then... I ran as fast as I could and I could see thirty trees going past me every second. I feel very fast.

I'm faster! This way, I can cover more ground before the day ends. I can hear a beast right in front of me and once they saw me, all they can see is their biggest fear. I sliced and sliced deep enough to kill them and proceed to my next target. Time passed by, I can feel more proficient in using my sword and hitting their weak points.

I didn't realize that I'm already at the second region and all I'm doing is killing every monster on sight nonstop. I couldn't feel any fatigue because of my immortality, that's the reason why I keep pushing deeper into the forest.

The more I use my skills they seem to become stronger as well. I wonder what my current level is. I haven't checked for a while now and I wonder how strong I've become since my last attack on those holy knights.

I came to a halt when I saw the message as if something serious will happen. But before I realized, I heard a loud zoom in the sky that I can clearly tell that it's coming towards me. My surroundings are slowly getting hotter and hotter as I wait for it's arrival while keeping my guard up. Suddenly, a loud boom almost swept me away as a shiny figure with wings appeared. My surroundings became scorching hot as the trees and bushes burn with it's presence. A wildfire started appearing buring everything that lives in the forest. I'm not sure but I've read this on one of my books in my shelf on my previous life, a being capable of rebirth along with its affinity with fire.

My speculation is correct, it is indeed a Phoenix. a bird capable of rebirth no matter how many times it is killed. All these heat made my throat hurt as it captures all oxygen and converting it to flame. It's level is not that high but what's unusual is that his skills are pretty high. Is it due to the fact that all of its experiences are kept no matter how many times it's killed? This will be a hard battle if it starts engaging.

"You who seek's power must be stopped at all costs." The bird talked with a calming yet serious tone.

"Tell me Ar'khan, why must you challenge me if you will die a useless death?" I provoked her with a serious tone as well.

"Anyone who tips the balance of this forest will die a painless death if needed be so." She said.

"Anyone who meets a Phoenix gets burned without uttering a single word, yet you remain unharmed. You are not human at all." She added.

"You're telling me to stop killing all who inhabits this forest yet you kill them with your ability. You and I are not different." I said calmly while I ready my sword.

"All those who die return back to the soils of Encairydia to be replaced by a new one yet you, you are unnatural. I sense a lot of hatred in you and your soul is not from this place." She said.

"What is your purpose otherworlder?" She added while I was shocked at her accurate analysis.

"It's simple, to become stronger. And after that, I'll rule everything." I responded with arrogance.

Without saying a word, the bird readies her wings to soar high into daylight and it gathers the sun's energy while looking at me.

"I shall destroy you before things turn to chaos." She said in an angry voice this time.

The sun's rays focused on my location with the help of the bird's ability. My senses tingle with fear and I clearly understood that I should evade the attack.

A moment later, a thick ray of light appeared out of nowhere and it is following me everywhere I go. Bird-like projectiles keep following me and I dodged as much as I can but I still get hit because although I'm immortal, the pain is still unbearable. But when I think about it, I shouldn't be affected by fire, because I have a passive skill that can negate all elements. But what's happening? My HP is affected.

~ Sage I thought I'm immune to such attacks? What's happening? ~

Damn it. I can't just charge without a plan or I might get burned before I reach her. What should I do now? I won't run forever, there has to be a way.

I can't summon Qliphot's Wrath and Tremble since they're made of wood and fire magic is useless to a fire type creature. I guess the best option now is to use Black hole and suck that bird up. I stopped running as I turned back to the Phoenix as it follows me with it's heat ray and other conjured fire birds that are approaching me. I placed my hands in front of me as I imagine a dark hole materializing in an empty area. A black hole that's big enough to fit in my hands appeared and I imagine it's size grow bigger until it sucks up the ground under it along with the burning trees surrounding me. But clearly I am unnafected for some reason. The bird stopped its attack and began flapping its wings to prevent it from being consumed as I raised the black hole to the sky. Grr! It's too heavy! I didn't know black hole could be so dense, everything is being consumed this is my limit for now.

What perfect timing, I was planning to gobble her up without being consumed by my skill first. It will be troublesome if that happens.

How convenient. All things that the Gluttony will eat in it's black hole state will be added to mine. The black hole suddenly became smaller but it's gravitational pull got intense enough to tire the Phoenix down for it to be completely consumed. A moment later, after I have been satisfied that the Phoenix is gone, my black hole has disappeared as well. Leaving a large crater under it.

As expected. It has greatly affected my fire magic and I have become more proficient in using fire, I can even summon these bird-like projectiles earlier.

I check my map to see some changes and it looks like the entire color except in the middle are all green. It's already noon maybe I can clear this forest within the day. Heavy smoke rises in the air as fires began to spread quickly. I summoned my wings to go to the mountain to see what lies there. I feel anxious yet excited by the feeling of what I can discover next.

The same symbol appeared out of nowhere as I fly to the towards the mountain and my head hurts whenever I see it. I remember this happened to me last night before I met Azthetoph, maybe it's somehow connected.

What's this? I don't remember getting this at all. I mean, I can recall something, but where?

I remember now, I consumed Azthetoph's arm back in his Astral Plane. My greed sometimes makes me regret things *giggle.

I arrived at the mountain and see a giant cave entrance just in the middle of the lonely mountain. As I landed in the mountain's entrance, I can feel a powerful Mana force seeping from the inside. What is it?

The cave is somewhat different because I can see some sort of crystals Illuminating lights as I go deep inside.

I didn't respond because I was curious on what this creature looks like. And finaly, after a short walk from the entrance, I can see a creature so massive it made me feel insignificant. Dark skinned with cold blue eyes and sharp teeth as big as a whole person is what I can obviously tell first.

"Tell me human, who sent you?" He said with a commanding and deep voice.

"Azthetoph" I responded with awe.

"I knew that this would happen" He said

"But amongst them, I'm still a child." He added.

"Why do you sound weak?" I asked.

"My mortal body is already at it's limit. I must return to the God's Realm." He replied.

"Are you waiting for someone?" I asked again.

"I was waiting for him, for Azthetoph. His small part is inside you Greedy child. Surely you must have noticed by now." He replied.

"I knew it." I said.

"Now that he's here, what will you you?" I asked.

"I will handle the rest from here." He replied.

After that, the dragon closed his eyes and got into a some kind of meditation. A barrier showed up around us and something began to emerge on my body. It connected to the dragon's mind but I cannot fathom what it is.

"Undertood master." The dragon murmured.

A moment passed, the dragon began to shine as it dematerialize and before I blinked. The creature is gone.
