6. A known guest (part 2)

Eva's POV

I knew Uncle Oliver from childhood onwards. He was such a gentle man and he was like a father figure for me.

Before my mom's death, we didn't have this much of affection, I knew him as the Alpha of our pack but my mom's death changed everything, he became integral part of my life. He always cared for me genuinely unlike my uncle and aunt.

Today he came with his family for the first time so I was nervous, I was expecting his family to be as good as him.

When uncle David introduced me with them, I was stunned as I saw Dr. Ellen with Alpha Oliver and Luna Alina. I knew they had a daughter but never knew it was Ellen.

I greeted them and served them coffees.

“How are you Eva ?” Alpha Oliver said with uttermost care.

“I am good, Alpha. Thank you ”I said bowing my head.

“How many times I need to tell you don't bow in front of me when I am in your house. I am like your family so treat me like a family.” He said with moist eyes.

“And why you are calling me Alpha? Simply call me Oliver, I will be more happy.” He said with a smile in his face.

I simply nodded my head as I was afraid to say anything in front of him and the reason was my uncle and aunt. They didn't like the way Oliver treats me.

Soon everyone got busy with the discussion they were doing earlier. I took time to observe them. Alpha Oliver like always was looking extremely handsome in his grey three piece suit. The glow in his face was enough to scream, he was the face of our pack, leader of our pack.

Luna Alina was sitting beside and equally complementing him. She was wearing a blue pantsuit with matching jewellery. Her short hairs were styled perfectly into a low bun which was giving her gorgeous look. I smiled looking at her and she did the same with me. Her eyes were soft, loving and caring, making me comfortable around her.

As I was observing her, I felt a constant stare on my side, I looked at the source, it was none other than Ellen, she was looking furiously at me. Her expression was enough to tell me, she was not liking my presence. She was wearing a tight fitting yellow jumpsuit that was hardly leaving any room for even breathing. Although she was looking beautiful in that dress but my confusion was, how she wore that dress.

“ Eva, why you are standing at the corner, come here sit with us.” Alpha Oliver told me sweetly in between his discussion with uncle.

“ I am ok Oliver, thank you.” I said trying to act genuine in front of him.

“ I will not take any no from you, Eva sit here, in this sofa.” Alpha Oliver said indicating towards the sofa opposite to him.

“Dad don't you think, you are giving her too much importance. She is a just ugly useless creature” Ellen said throwing disgusting look at me.

“Ellen don't say these things to her. You can't behave like this to anyone. You are future Luna of the pack so behave yourself.” Luna Alina said while scolding Ellen.

I had heard till now she was a kind hearted luna. But today when she supported me instead of her daughter, the level of respect for her in my eyes had increased.

“I want you to apologise to Eva right now.” she said angryly while looking towards Ellen.

“Mom are you for real, how can you tell me to apologise especially an orphan like her?” Ellen asked her mom, trying hard to make it clear, she knew how to treat a girl like me.

As the situation around the house was getting more tensed and if the Alpha and his family will return their home without eating anything then I knew I will not be able to see the next morning because of my aunt and uncle.

“Please Luna Alina, Dr. Ellen doesn't need to apologise for anything. I am ok. Moreover she didn't say anything wrong. So please don't force her to do anything which she don't like.”I was trying her to battle with my tear so I was looking down.

“Ellen apologise, otherwise consequences will not be good for you”. Alpha Oliver said with a roaring voice.

“Sorry Eva” Ellen said as she didn't want to see the worse side of Alpha.

“It's ok Ellen.”I said humbly.

To lighten the mood, aunt told everyone dinner was ready so she requested everyone to move towards the dinning room.

“So what you have made Helly for today, the smell coming out of the food is delicious.” Luna asked to aunt Helly.

“Everything was prepared by me while Eva helped me little bit. You know Luna Alina, I prefer to prepare food myself and I believe then only the taste comes.” Aunt said prasing herself.

Luna Alina simply nodded her head. After everyone took their sit, Alpha announced everyone to have their dinner. Everyone was eating and was appreciating the dishes especially Colonial Goose and Whitebait Fritters.

I was really happy everyone liked the food.

“Ellen daughter you are not having your dinner properly, Do you need anything.” Aunt Helly asked Ellen trying hard to show her fake care.

“No Helly, I am good but these oily high calorie foods are not my thing, I can't be fatty like Eva.” Ellen said trying to show her well maintained body.

“Ellen, mind your language ” Luna Alina said angryly.

“Sorry mom but I can't have these oily food. ” Ellen said in an irritated tone.

I was wondering why she was bringing my name in every discussion. I knew I am not at all fatty, people may consider me healthy but I was no near to be called as fatty. Further as doctor, I knew the importance of healthy food but sometimes we all could cheat our diet.

Finally the dinner was over and it was time when Alpha Oliver with return. So like always he gave me chocolates and a beautiful dress as a token of love.

The dress was really beautiful. It was a navy blue frock. The frock, he gave was soft and flowing, but at the same time was loose and constructed. Along with that it was draped and clingy in straighter silhouettes. It was slightly antique but was not over fussy or overly fitted. I thanked him after taking gift from him.

After my mom's death, Alpha Oliver used to visit our house every month and in this way he used to present me gifts.

Alpha Oliver and his family said goodbye to us and started to return to their home. As soon as they left, aunt first took the dress from me. She never wanted me to wear beautiful dresses as for her I was never made for this type of dresses.

“ This dress will look good only on my daughter, not on someone ugly as you.” Aunt said with jealously which was easily understood by me.

“But aunt, Alpha Oliver gave me this, and last time also you gave my dress to Sarina. Please let me keep this dress. ” I said hoping she will agree with me.

“Nowadays I am watching, you are talking too much and expressing your view more than necessary. Don't forget girl we adopted you, when you were alone, no one was there for you, we adopted you otherwise you had been begging in the streets after your mother's died. So be thankful for whatever you are getting and don't expect more. ” Aunt said by showing me the reality of my life.

“Aunt please, there will be a party in our hospital this weekend so can I wear this dress for that occasion? ” I asked with pleading tone.

“No dear Eva, you can't, hoodie and jeans is the best outfit for you. ”She said in an irritating voice.

I was sad as I really wanted to wear that dress for the party but at the same time, I thought aunt was saying the truth as I hardly wore these type of dresses. I was more comfortable in wearing hoodie and jeans and it's ok if I will wear hoodies in the party.

I was walking towards my room suddenly my hairs felt like they'll be torn apart from my body. Tears filled in my eyes and my vision became blur. It was my aunt who was holding me through my hairs. I was begging her to stop but she was not listening anything. She was dragging me towards the kitchen. While she was dragging me, my head striked the table which was kept in between the drawing room and blood started coming out.

While dragging, she was screaming at me and was saying how I could leave the kitchen without cleaning the utensils. The reason was ridiculous yet she just needed a reason to abuse me.

Suddenly I hard a loud sound of slap and saw my aunt falling on the ground.

I was shocked as everything happened so fast that I was not able to respond anything. I looked upon and saw him slapping my uncle too.
