CHAPTER 8 When the festivities had wound down for the evening, they made their way through the snow, following the pathway of coloured Christmas lights down the row of detached cabins that led out from the Big House. Eli watched his breath plume in the cold air and opened his mouth wide to catch a snowflake on his tongue.
