JANUARY 3, RIVERS END
Ginger dragged her butt into the office Tuesday morning. The first day back after the holidays was always a nightmare.
She scanned her access card at the front door of Too Many Monkeys, hauling Max along behind her. “C’mon, girl. It’s a new year, and we’re gonna rock this one.”
Ginger made her way down the hall past the glassed-in meeting rooms and the soundproof recording audio.
She had a great life with nice friends, a job she loved, and the best dog in the whole world. She would not waste even one second more brooding over Eli.
