Kaira frowned, then leaned forward so she could see as much of the hangar they were in as possible. It still matched her first impression, it was large enough for the Glimmer but not by much.
“Why have that huge great entrance if the landing bays are this small?” she asked.
“The entrance leads to a number of bays,” replied Tarkus. “Control just directed us to one which was a good match for the Glimmer. It’s quite a clever system, really. It saves them wasting too much space for ships the size of the Glimmer without having to have dozens of separate entrances. Easier for maintenance, and I’m sure it allows them to concentrate more defensive firepower outside of the entrance.”
