Dav followed Roz, their guide, through a multitude of twisting corridors, Tarkus walking beside him. At first Dav knew the areas well, but soon they were moving beyond those and into areas he’d never travelled before. Their guide led them into areas which were packed with people. Dav couldn’t help but think this put them at more risk, but after some time he realised the chances of anyone picking them out among such a large crowd were very low. Whereas walking down a quiet corridor they could easily be spotted. Finally Roz led them to a transit area. Rather than the enclosed carriages which were most often used to change levels, here there were massive sets of escalators allowing continuous streams of people to travel between floors.
