“Something’s happening!” said Doug.
Kaira’s eyes snapped open and she set up. She held in a groan, but she felt much better than she had before. Which wasn’t difficult.
She looked over at the display Doug had been watching, and saw people scrambling to leave the hangar.
“That’s going to be Tarkus,” she said. “He always seems to make an entrance.”
“I think you might be right. Let’s wake the children and make sure we’re ready.”
“Ready for what?” asked Bianca, who looked like she’d been snoozing.
“It’s Tarkus,” said Kaira. “Be ready for anything!”
