As the Glimmer levelled out, Kaira saw jagged crags appearing through the thick atmosphere then rushing towards them, seemingly passing only just below the ship. Tarkus kept the Glimmer moving, changing direction frequently, and somehow avoiding catastrophe.
“How long can we do this safely?” Kaira asked.
“Who said this was safe?” replied Tarkus, with a grin. “We just need to get a little further away. Another minute or two and we can lift up a little.”
