Shapeshifters in the dark

Chapter three

I was awoke by Amy, she seemed like it was very important. I opened my eyes to see her shaking me and saying my name. I couldn’t sleep if she kept do this.

She saw my eyes open and said, “You need to get up. We have school today. Also, I fell weird, I woke up today and I felt sick.”

I asked, “Are you okay?”

She said, “Yeah, it is gone now.”

I got out of bed and walked to the closet and saw there was my clothes in it. I couldn’t figure out how they go there.

I said, “How did my clothes get here?”

Amy said, “Stan brought them in this morning. I brought you underwear and bras.”

I felt so much better knowing that Stan hadn’t touch my underclothes. I didn’t care that Amy did. I just felt so much better knowing he didn’t touch them. I went and grabbed my clothes and got dressed for the day. I knew today would have different events than yesterday. I wouldn’t be going to my last school. I was just hoping that I would still be ahead of my classmates. I knew that I knew even if I wasn’t ahead that I would feel good because than everyone else was at my knowledge. I was two grades ahead of the other kids my age. I was only sixteen and was a senior in high school. I was going to be graduating this year. I was kind of sad that I wasn’t going to graduate this year. I was going to try to make everything better for myself. I know that I could pass most of the classes they shoved at me. I followed Amy to the dining hall, I ate breakfast. A boy around seventeen walks up to and handed me a piece of paper, I looked at it. I was a school schedule everything was filled out but the last three ones. It went:

1st: Lovelace, room 204, language

2nd: Hooktooth, room 403, math

3rd: Smallmouse, room 3, science

4th: Snakeeye, room 604, history

Fifth, sixth and seventh were blank. I looked up at the boy and he said, “First, you need to fill out the last ones. They didn’t know what your skills are or how far you were in your last school. Also, my name is Firehawk. I will helping through out the day to get to your classes.”

I said, “what is your short name?”

He said, “James. Please fill out the last ones.”

I looked down at the paper again and filled out the last ones. It went:

5th: Mosspelt, room 202, accounting

6th: Blackwood room 42, A&P

7th: Honeywell, room 6224 foreign language

I was kind off excited for my classes. I knew my schedule would change but the last three. I was so excited for school. James looked at me and said, “Let’s go to our first class. I know Lovelace will not be there until a little later. She loves to be late.”

I looked at James and laughed. I was really going to have fun at school. I was so excited for everything. I was ready, James started to move away from me and I followed. I was watching everything that James did. I knew that he was unbred but he would find his mate very soon. I knew today was going to be a long day. I knew that I could do anything I put my mind to. I was going to say something when we stopped in front of a door.

James said, “We are here. This is our first class. I know that Lovelace isn’t going to think much of you. She will think that you are older because how you hold yourself.”

We walked into the classroom I could see a lot of kids but one girl stucked out like a sore thumb. She had dark brown hair. I couldn’t see her face because of the book that she was reading. She looked up from her book and looked at me. Her dark brown eyes had a red ring around her pupils. Her face could be out of a movie because she has a beauty that only movie stars had. She smiled at me, I smiled back at her. She then put her head back into her book.

Lovelace looked at me and said, “Why are you here in this class?”

I said, “This was on my schedule. James showed me to class.” I watched as James took a seat in the front of the class next to the girl with book.

Lovelace said, “Okay. What is your name?”

I said, “Lizzy.”

She said, “No what is your name?”

I said, “Firecheetah.”

She looked at her list of students and told me to sit down. I know that she didn’t look like she believed me. I knew that she was going to be hard to deal with.

Lovelace said, “I want everyone to come up to the front of the class and introduce themselves.”

The students all went one by one but to the front of the class the only two, I paid attention to was a boy and girl.

The boy said, “My name is Pouncewolf and I will be second in comand or the beta.”

The other one was the girl with the book. She said, “My name is Rabbitbone and I will be a protector.”

I knew that I had to get both of their names. I needed to know who they were. When it came my turn, I went up there.

I said, “I am Firecheetah and I will be Alpha. I will be leading this pack in the future.” I looked at Lovelace and said, “May I get two students short names?”

Lovelace said, “Go head.”

I said, “Can Pouncewolf and Rabbitbone come up and tell me their names.”

Pouncewolf had blue hair and black eyes with neon green ring. Poucewolf and Rabbitbone came up the front and walked up to me.

Rabbitbone said, “I am Isabelle.”

Pouncewolf said, “I am Bane.”

Isabelle said, “Why do you want our short names?”

I said, “Because I like short names and it is easier to remember.”

I watched Bane as he moved his blue hair around. He said, “I don’t care why you want short names. I want to know why me?”

I said, “You are going to be my beta. I need to know my beta.”

Bane said, “Yeah. I understand now.”

Isabelle said, “What about me?”

I said, “You will be a protector.”

Both of them nodded. Lovelace said, “Okay now that Firecheetah knows who her two students, please go sit down.”

All of us sat down and started class. It was not the English that I thought it would be. It was english with a new language. Lovelace said that it was Lirenerk and that all of us had to learn it. Some of the words were:

Parklar which meant leader or higher power. The next one was Killara which meant mentor. Another one was Lire which meant marks. The last one was Recler which meant ring in the eye. I could only remember those from the day. The bell rang to tell us that class was over. James and I went to our next class. The day flew by. I remember that in my last Stan had told me to met him and Tom in the woods. I was going to go met people that were in the city. I was excited, we were going to the city where I came from. I knew that we had to keep our heads down. I knew that I was the most important one to keep myself from being seen. The last bell rang and I took off as fast as I could to the woods. I met up with Tom and Stan. I looked at Stan, he looked just excited about going too.

I said, “Who are we going to see?”

Stan said, “We are going to meet the Raven family. They are vampires that sometimes comes to visit us. We are going to see them so that you can meet all of the members of them. There is one of them you will know”

I was so excited, “Are we only going?”

Stan shook his head and said, “No we are waiting for Alec and his mentor.”

When he said that a man stepped into the clearing with us. The man had goldern hair with cream colored eyes with a golden ring. I knew that this was Alec’s mentor. Hawkeye said, “Alec is going to be a little bit he keeps getting in a fight with a student of ours, Saltypanda keeps getting him to fight him. I know that Saltypanda is the instigator.”

After he said Alec stepped out of the wood. His black hair shined in the sunlight. He looked at this bright blue eyes. He looked so hot, I almost attacked him and had my way with him. I felt like he was so hot, I could just eat him. I needed to calm my thoughts. Stan leaned over and said in my ear, “Calm down Lizzy. You can have your way with him later. You have lust in your eyes. He isn’t met for you to bred but I know that you are going to have your way with him.”

I looked confused and said back him, “What do you mean?”

He laughed and said, “Saltypanda is going to be your mate. He is going to get you pregnant not Alec.”

I looked at him like he was crazy. We moved through the wood and we got to the city pretty quickly. I was so confused on what Stan had said. I couldn’t figure out how he knew. I knew to go to Aimee after this and talk to her. We moved through the city with ease. I could tell that we were going into an area that was only meant for the creatures of the night. We were very close to the house when a man stepped out.The man had bleached blonde hair with sea blue eyes. The man spoke, “Welcome Morman, Stan, Tom, and youngsters.”

I looked over to Hawkeye and knew that he must be Morman. The name suited him. Morman said, “Hello Carl. The young ones are Lizzy and Alec.” Carl walked up to us and bowed, “Welcome leader to be and boy.”

I knew that he also knew that Alec wasn’t going to be my true mate. I knew that I had to know the truth by having my way with him. We walked into the house with Carl. I looked around and saw a statue of a goddess. I looked over to Carl and said, “Who is this?”

Carl said, “The goddess of vampires. Her name is Reven. She is the first of the vampires. She was a beautiful woman. She was killed by a pack of humans because she looked so pale and they thought she was a witch.”

I looked at him with awe, “I didn’t know that there was a goddess to the vampires. I knew that there were goddess for people around the world then again I didn’t know vampires existed until now.” I laughed nervously.

He laughed, “She isn’t well known in the human world or in werewolf world either. You came here to see someone didn’t you?”

I looked at him confused, I thought we were here just to met the vampires who lived on our land. I didn’t know there was another reason we came to see the vampires.

Carl realized I didn’t know yet, the real reason why we were there.

I asked, “Why are we really here?”

Morman looked at me and said, “Do you remember your friend from freshmen year of high school? The one that disappeared and no one was able to find.”

I said, “Wait are you talking about Jace?”

Morman nodded and my jaw dropped. There was noise from behind me and I turned swiftly and saw Jace. His golden blonde hair and golden eyes shined at me in the sunlight. I was so happy that I jumped with glee. I ran to him and wrapped my arms around his waist. I couldn’t believe he was still alive. The police said that there was a high likely chance that he was dead and they couldn’t find the killer. We lived in a very small town that was shroud by forest. They wouldn’t sweep the forest for evidence. The town just assumed that he was dead. They held a ceremony for him and a funeral too.

I was crying into his chest and I had to pull myself together before I could look up at his face. I stepped back and looked up at Jace and he was smiling with tears in his eyes. I knew that he missed me too. Jace and I grew up together; our mothers were best friends in high school and they both wanted us to marry each other.

Jace spoke, “Lizzy, I missed you. I can’t believe that you are here. You smell funny.”

His eyes then darken with anger. “You are a wolf now.” He looked into my eyes and saw my blue ring and his voice dropped low, “You are the next alpha of the pack.”

I nodded. He looked sad and then happy again.

He grabbed me and pulled me into a hug. I hugged him back then he picked me up and swung me around in a circle. He stopped and asked me, “How is my mother?”

I said, “She was so sad that you were gone, her only son, but she had to be strong for your younger sisters. Your sister Jamie killed herself a year after your disappearance so she broke now after that.”

Jace was crying as I finished. Jace and Jamie were very close for being a year apart. They did everything together. They were never separated. I knew that me telling him that was going to make him cry. I had to tell him that his sister was dead because of his disappearance. Jace sat there crying. I held him close, he wiped his eyes and said, “Alec, I want to talk to you in my room.”

He moved away from me and walked to a room with a lion head on it and opened it and Alec moved in to follow him. Jace slammed his door after Alec stepped into the room. I looked around and saw that Morman, Stan, Tom, and Carl all walked away. I stood there like a fool not knowing what to do. I then started to wander the halls looking for something to do. I heard a short sigh come from one of the corners of the hall I was in. I looked into the corner when I was a man standing there looking kinda worried. He had dirt brown hair with one icy blue eye and the other chilling green. His jaw was crooked and his fangs jaded out of his mouth.

The man spoke, “Hi, my name is Scott. You look lost.”

He spoke with a slur. I shook my head and said, “No, I am waiting on Jace and Alec. The adults wandered off and I was stuck by myself so I decided to explore the house. My name is Lizzy.”

His eyes flickered in the light and he said, “They will be a while. Do you play video games?”

I nodded and he said, “Hooray, follow me.”

I followed Scott to his wall that had a small dragon head on it. He pulled a key with a dragon head on it and put it in the hole in the wall.

The wall opened up to a stairway and Scott glidded down the stairs with ease.I followed quickly when I heard a hiss as the wall closed again. I jumped the rest of the way down the stairs. I saw Scott laughing at me. I glared at him, a black cat came down the stairs. Scott said, “Carter maybe you shouldn’t lay on the stairs like that.”

The cat flicked its tail at him and continued to move away from the stairs to a room in the back of the open space that we were standing in. The room was filled with a couple of screens that were very big like theater big. I stood there staring with awe on my face. I looked over at Scott and jumped with glee, “Can we play please?”

Scott nodded and pulled out two controllers. One red and the other black. I was so excited to see that he had a red controller. I asked, “Can I have the red one please?”

Scott nodded again at me and then said, “What do you want to play?”

I said, “I want to play Call of Duty, any of them.”

Scott said, “Do you play warframe?”

I said, “I have never played it before.”

Scott said, “You should try it out. It is fun.”

I said, “Okay, I will try it.”

Scott set up the tvs so we could play. I had a lot of fun. We played for like forever, at least that was what it felt like. When we heard a bang from upstairs.

A woman yelled out, “Scott, I know you have the girl down there with you. You need to bring her up here.”

Scott looked at me and said, “That is Angliza. She wants me to date her. She just wants me to herself.”

I laughed. Scott shook his head and looked at me like I was crazy. I laughed at him again. He glared at me which just made me laugh harder.

Scott yelled, “I have no clue what you are talking about.”

The woman yelled back, “He won’t leave without her.”

Scott yelled, “Who.”

I said, “Alec my mate.”

Scott looked over to the cat that was sitting in the corner of the room and nodded. The cat got up and moved to the stairs. Then I heard a scream and movement fastly down the stairs. I see Alec looking so afraid as he is followed by the cat down the stairs. I started to laugh when I saw it was real fear. I stopped laughing. Alec looked kinda hurt by me. I then pulled him into me and kissed him. He relaxed in my arms. I kissed him with as much passion as I could. He pulled back, biting his lip. I knew that he enjoyed the kiss. He smiled at me, I knew he wanted more. I leaned forward when I heard Scott clear his throat. I blushed, I completely forgot about Scott. Scott looked embarrassed at what he just witnessed.

Scott said, “Can you guys wait until later to have your way with each other. I would not like to watch.” He laughed, “I know it would be hot to watch someone have s*x but I don’t want to watch you guys have sex.”

Alec looked so embarrassed by Scott’s comment. He was so beat red, he looked down at his pants. I looked down too and realized my hand was on his hard c**k. I giggled like a little girl. I blushed harder, Scott looked at us and then stood up and dropped the controller on the plush chair and said, “You guys should go now before you guys have s*x down here.” Scott didn’t look angry but looked a little embarrassed still. I nodded and agreed with him. I grabbed Alec’s hand and made him follow me back up the stairs. We left Scott in our dust as we moved past the vampires and out the front doors. We made it back to the forest in a hurry. We made it in the forest. I turned towards Alec and was going to say something to him when his lips met mine again like down in Scott’s room. I knew with was going to be a long night. I heard a branch snapped and pulled away from Alec. I cleared my throat and said, “I am sorry but this doesn’t feel right to me.”

Alec looked down in disappointment. I knew that I broke his heart a little but I knew that he wasn’t my mate. I had to find who was. The walk back to the village was long. I felt the disappointment from Alec. I then smelled something intoxicating the smell of dark chocolate and mint. My mouth watered with the smell. I knew that this smell was from my mate. Angel approached us and turned towards me. I knew that we were in trouble for not following the group back to the village. When Angel said the oddest thing ever.

She said, “The alpha of the River pack has come to visit. We have to have a meeting tonight.”

I looked shocked. She continued, “Get some rest before the meeting.”

I followed Alec back to the houses where we separated and move to our own dorms. I went up to my room and fell asleep right away.
