“I love you so much, Freya but how could you do this? I told you to ask me for anything! You didn't even ask for my advice before making such a decision… Am I that incapable to you?” Gwen asked, her voice cracking as she spoke and Freya immediately shook her head before standing up as well. “I just wanted to assist you. I'm an adult and I also wanted to help you too-” “By taking a loan? From such an organization? Do you know how dangerous they are?” Gwen cut Freya off in frustration as she grabbed her hair in her hands. “I'm so sorry, Gwen… My friends, they told me it wasn't so bad and that they'll help me when it's time to pay back… I had no idea it'd turn out this bad!” Freya pleaded as she took Gwen's hands and tears slowly rolled down her cheeks. “Tell me, Freya. How much money did you borrow?” Gwen asked and Freya immediately went silent as she looked away with guilt written all over her face. “A thousand dollars…” “Excuse me!? A freaking thousand dollars— What did you use it for? Your tuition ain't even up to that amount! What the hell, Freya?” Gwen asked in horror as she pulled her hands away from Freya's and paced around in fear. She didn't know what to do. How was she supposed to find a thousand dollars in a day? She just got fired and her other jobs don't even pay so well. She was beyond frustrated as she leaned against the wall and stared at Freya. She knew that her sister loved material stuff and that she always wanted to blend in with the rich kids. But she had gone too far this time. “That was the least amount I could take, Gwen. Please believe me.” Freya pleaded and Gwen finally let out a deep breath as she wiped the tears that rolled down her cheeks. “What did you use the money for? Your tuition fees are still due, aren't they? What exactly did you use a thousand dollars for, Freya?” She asked and Freya remained silent, not wanting to reply to her questions. Gwen, seeing that Freya wouldn't answer her question, took a seat on the bed and stared out the small window. “What will happen if you don't pay up tomorrow, Freya?” She asked and Freya turned to look at her with a solemn expression on her face as she moved to kneel in front of Gwen. “They said they would sell my organs… and also… they would get you too. They know everything about me and you, Gwen. They know our house, they know where you work, they know everything.” Freya replied shakily and Gwen ran a hand through her hair in frustration. She couldn't break down because she needed to be strong for Freya. She could see how guilty she was and even though she wanted to blame her, she couldn't. Instead, she felt guilty that she couldn't do enough for her. “Do they know we're werewolves?” Gwen asked and when Freya shook her head in response, she let out a sigh of relief. Keeping their identity a secret was their top priority because if it was exposed, they would be the next species for the experiment. “I'll see what I can do tomorrow, Freya. In the meantime, you should come with me tomorrow. I can't protect you if you're out of my sight. I'll talk to my bosses and see what I can do about it, alright?” Gwen said reassuringly and Freya burst into tears as she pulled her in for a tight hug. “I'm so sorry for putting you through this, Gwen.” She sobbed and Gwen gently rubbed her back as she placed a soft kiss on her hair. “No matter what you do, you're still my sister and the only family I have. I won't let them hurt you, I promise.” Gwen replied before pulling away from the hug and wiping Freya's tears away. “Go to sleep now, you must be tired.” She added and Freya nodded before moving to lay on the bed beside her. Freya had a small smile on her face before she fell asleep, leaving Gwen in her thoughts. Gwen had lots of questions but she didn't want to scare her any further. How did she spend a thousand dollars like it was nothing? What was she not telling her? She wanted to find out but she decided to wait till she found a way to pay the loan off. She finally fell asleep amidst her thoughts. Waking up the next morning to the sound of her alarm, Freya was still sleeping peacefully beside her. She got ready for work before shaking Freya awake. After getting dressed, they both left the house, looking around to be sure no one was following them. Freya clung to Gwen's arm as they went to her first job as a waitress in a small restaurant. Gwen had Freya stay somewhere safe as she decided to speak to her boss and ask for help. Her boss immediately turned her down, telling her that she didn't give advance payments. To Gwen's horror, the rest of her bosses turned her down as well and the day was already gone. She had no other place to go… except the bar. She knew that the owner of the bar was very rich so he might help her if she did anything he wanted. “What are we gonna do, Gwen? It's already late and there's no way we'll get the money this late!” Freya cried out as they both walked to the bar and Gwen immediately comforted her by pulling her for a hug. “There's still one more option. Trust me.” She said and Freya nodded as they both walked into the bar. Gwen had her heart in her throat as she headed for the counter where she knew that her former boss always sat to observe everyone. When he saw her, his eyes widened in fear and rage and he immediately shouted and called for security. “Who let this b***h in here? Security, throw her out!” He yelled before Gwen could speak and security immediately picked her up and threw her outside before she could beg him for help. She looked around for Freya, but before she could get up, she felt something solid collide with her head, and someone covered her head with a black bag as she passed out.
