I was in my penthouse getting ready to meet with Nicolai, on the docks along the City’s water edge to negotiate an amicable resolution to Isabella’s attempt against his life. Now at any other time me sitting across from this man would be challenging after his many crimes against me, and my mafia but it was his crimes against Isabella and my marriage that would make all reason go out the window and lead me to killing him with my bare hands, consequences be damn.
