It’s been two days since my seat-down with Nicolai. I had two objectives in that meeting; to temper my rage long enough not to kill him and to plant a bug on him to find out where his new hideout was located, since Isabella had blown up the loft. I managed to do both and agreed to fairly safe and benign terms, such as giving him the territories I had stripped away from him and profit shares from the Suez Canal Enterprise. These terms alone were enough to secure his silence from telling the six mafia heads about Isabella’s botched attempt on his life; well, that was until he asked for the one thing he knew I could never negotiate; Isabella, herself.
