I was in my Rinascita office getting ready to meet with my design team. We were finalizing our Fall fashion look. I was trying to stay busy even as today weighed heavy on my heart. Today was July 24th, the anniversary of the day my mom died. For a long time, I didn’t know when she died. In fact, I didn’t know for sure if she had died. She had just disappeared from my life a few months before my fifth birthday. There was so much mystery around her disappearance. That was until last year. I found out she was buried in the Bernardi family cemetery, and I planned on going there after work today to visit her and Uncle Vito.
