I’ve spent all day trying to keep my mind on work and not the woman that was twelve floors down from my 41st floor corporate office. I knew that Isabella came back to work today as she planned. The workplace was unusually quiet especially since it was the first time Bella has come to work since the media frenzy about her pregnancy and paternity scandal. Now one would have hoped that the Bernardi Corp. employees were being respectful and mindful when it came to Isabella and her privacy and did not want to create an uncomfortable environment for her by pushing rumors and vicious gossip; but I knew that the very real threat of immediate termination, I instituted was the reason for it.
