~Isabella POV~
I woke up in a cold sweat. I dreamed that I was in the back office of the Diamonds Club, and I saw Nicolai take out his gun and, as if in slow motion, he jumped up from his chair and shot Tyler in the head. But it wasn’t Tyler that fell, lifeless on the blood-stained carpeted floor, it was Victor! I screamed out in terror, jolted awake by what I had just dreamed. I looked around the dark room. I was in bed and though I knew he was not there, I reached over to Victor’s side of the bed and called out his name. It was empty and cold with a deafening silence. I laid back down on my pillow, trying to pace my breathing. I could hear that monster’s proposition ringing in my ear, “One night… in my bed and you will have your husband back in 24 hours”.
