My head was spinning with what I had just discovered about Uncle Vito’s estate and what he left me. I remember going to his Will reading six months after his death to mainly provide moral support to Victor. The circumstances of Uncle Vito’s death and the devastating family secrets that were revealed rocked the very foundation of the Bernardi family, but no one more so than Victor. Though Uncle Vito’s death was unanticipated, it appeared that he, himself, had prepared for his passing. He not only established an executor for his estate but also requested that his Will not be opened until six months after his passing in order to give the family time to grieve.
