It was a known fact that the current Crown Alpha Prince, the soon-to-be Alpha King, had not yet found his fated mate. And since obviously, he wasn't willing to take a chosen mate, he settled for a breeder. A perfect vessel for his pleasure and the mother to his pups and the kingdom heirs as he waited for his fated mate, of course. Taking breeders was common, especially among high-ranked werewolves, but it was rare for a prince, especially a crown prince, to keep one.
But he was a werewolf royalty, of course. He could do whatever he wanted with his life, and clearly, he chose a breeder from the Silverwall pack. Which, by the way, happened to have just the suitable candidate, an unwanted Alpha she-wolf, readily available, and easy to discard the moment he found his fated mate.
