Crush, My Love: Chapter 1
Aria
"Hey, Aria! What are you doing? Let's go to the field to see the boys playing," said Sara to me after I haven't move from my seat when she called me a few times.
I was busy doing my homework that need to be sent before shool's end today. Instead, my best friend, Sara kept on asking me to come with her to watch the school's football team playing against Eastern Point Middle School today.
Everyone was at the field today as our football team never lost any game this year and would go to the Final if they won the game today.
As much as I wanted to, I still need to finish my work therefore, I told Sara, "I really need to finish this before Mrs Sanders told me off again. The last time I didn't finish her work, she actually made me standing in front the class,".
Sara shrugged. She knew how terrified I was of Mrs Sanders, our English teacher. She always targeted me during class even though I was the best student in English. Maybe it was because I didn't attend the English Choral Speaking Competition last year.
"All right then. I'll save you a spot," said Sara before she left to go to the field.
Just a little bit more to finish my essay. It was perfect but not too perfect for the one and only Mrs Sanders. Don't be mistaken, I love her and I love her subject so I never actually dislike her for making everything hard for me ever since my last minute withdrawal.
It was my fault. I didn't go to the competition because I was actually hit by a car on my way. No one knew about the accident except for my family and Sara because I already felt guilty embarassing my school's name.
Just then, I heard the backdoor class opened. I didn't look back because I thought it was Sara coming back for me.
"Just one moment Sara. I need to double check my essay," I said.
"Addicted to being perfect, I see,".
That voice. I knew it was him without me looking. The voice I've been hearing since I was six. None other than Xander, my three-year-crush.
