Markus and Rain went back into the room where the whole incident happened, Helios has shifted back to his human form now but he was lying unconsciously on the floor, Darren was lying on the floor too, and his blood-soaked shirt was no longer on him. He was a hairy man, his chest was covered with hair and a thread of hair ran down his stomach, but his hairs were all bloody and Rain wondered if it was right to look at his half-naked body. She stood there, her hands clutched demurely in front of her as the pack doctor and Markus attended to Darren.
"He needs to be transferred to the pack's clinic," the doctor whispered. "His wound is deathly and needs to be attended to."
